Improving fast algebraic attacks
TL;DR: It is proved that Courtois' precomputation step is applicable for cryptographically reasonable LFSR-based stream ciphers, and an improved precomPUTation algorithm is presented that is parallelisable, in contrast to Cour tois' algorithm, and it is more efficient even when running sequentially.
Book ChapterDOI
Algebraic Attacks on Combiners with Memory
TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that nontrivial canceling relations of degree at most ⌈k(l+1)/2⌉ exist for (k, l)-combiners.
Book ChapterDOI
Improving Fast Algebraic Attacks
TL;DR: In 2003, Courtois [8] proposed Fast Algebraic Attacks as discussed by the authors, which is a method for cryptanalysis which is based on finding and solving a system of nonlinear equations.

Algebraic attacks on combiners with memory
TL;DR: It is shown that for ( k,l)-combiners, nontrivial canceling relations of degree at most ⌈k(l+1)/2⌉ exist, which makes algebraic attacks possible and allows to show the invulnerability of certain (k,l-combiner) against this kind ofgebraic attacks.

Ripple: Overview and Outlook
TL;DR: Ripple is a payment system and a digital currency which evolved completely independently of Bitcoin and holds the second highest market cap after Bitcoin.
