The present invention relates to a plant fault diagnosing system for diagnosing the operating conditions of the plant, for example, change in the physical quantity or whether any fault is present in each of the instrumentations or not. This system makes reference and makes directly comparison the process data of the plant or a diagnosing pattern processed by treating the process data in a predetermined process with a predetermined information for detecting showing the symptom of an abnormality or a predetermined reference value. When any deviation from a predetermined allowable range or coincidence of the patterns is detected, it determines that there is any abnormality in the plant, and issues an alarm to, for example, an operator.

CONSTITUTION:In this system 20, data in the course of plant operation is processed by a data processing part 15, and the calculation analysis of its data is executed by a performance calculating part 16. Subsequently, a main point diagnostic part 21 evaluates the reliability of the data and decides a factor, and thereafter, evaluates the reliability of the diagnosis. These measured data and analysis result information are reserved in a data bank 17, and displayed by a display part 18. In this diagnostic part 21, the state of a sudden variation is decided by a fact that calculated data exceeds the mean value of data in a prescribed period in the past stored in the bank 17 and a sudden variation criterion based on the degree of variance. Also, a slow variation is decided by a fact that a predicting value by the calculated data exceeds a criterion value based on initial data of a deterioration diagnostic start time point. Also, by installing this diagnostic part 21, the deterioration can be decided automatically.

Then the CPU22 calculates the stability coefficient of each process variable every time the countermeasure enable time, e.g., 1min elapses, and absolute value of the stability coefficient is displayed in the display device 25 as pattern in order from large value at each point of time.

Abnormality diagnosis system of process

PURPOSE:To find the actual liquid level correctly by finding the liquid level maximum likelihood value from plural level gages provided on a toner tank, etc., calculating the liquid level correcting value of an error due to the density change of fluid at the inner part of the tower tank, etc. from the process variable as well, and calculating the liquid level from these two values. CONSTITUTION:A material feeding pipe 2 is provided at the bottom part of a reaction tower 1 as for a tower tank, etc., and an extraction pipe 3 on the upper thereof respectively and three level gages 41-43 are provided respectively on the periphery as well. The error is caused on the liquid level indication according to the variation in the density of the liquid when the density of raw material gas is changed based on the process fluctuation of the pressure inside the tower, a raw material feeding factor, a reaction factor, and temp., etc. due to a differential pressure type level gage being used for the gages 41-43 herein. The actual liquid level is therefore found by correcting the error in the liquid level by the change in the density rho in a arithmetic processing unit 5. The liquid level indication value of the gage 41-43 is first measured in the unit 5 and the maximum likelihood value is found therefrom. In succession the process value is measured and the liquid level correction value is found based thereon.

These data which are generated preliminarily in accordance with prescribed procedures on a basis of the experiment, the knowledge, etc. of a skillful operator and are recorded in a data base of a magnetic disc, a magnetic tape, or the like are inputted to the computer to store these data in the computer. Thereafter, diagnostic conditions are inputted, and abnormality causes and outputs of countermeasures against them are obtained while having an interaction with the computer. Thus, the abnormality of a process is found out quickly to hold down the production of nonstandard goods to a minimum and the safety of the operation of the process is secured easily.
