Optical microfiber mode interferometer for temperature-independent refractometric sensing
G. Salceda-Delgado,David Monzón-Hernández,Alejandro Martinez-Rios,G.A. Cárdenas-Sevilla,Joel Villatoro +4 more
TL;DR: A functional optical microfiber mode interferometer and its applications for absolute, temperature-insensitive refractive index sensing and a sinusoidal pattern due to the beating between modes are reported on.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tapered Mach–Zehnder interferometer based on two mechanically induced long-period fiber gratings as refractive index sensor
TL;DR: In this paper, a Mach-Zehnder interferometer is built by two mechanically-induced long-period gratings and a fiber taper in the middle section is inserted.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mechanically induced long-period fiber gratings on tapered fibers
TL;DR: In this article, the characteristics of a mechanically induced long-period fiber grating made by pressing a pair of grooved plates over single-mode fiber tapers were analyzed and it was shown that the resonance wavelengths shift toward shorter wavelengths as the fiber taper waist diameter is reduced.
