Journal ArticleDOI

New methods for binding enzyme molecules into a water‐insoluble matrix: Properties after insolubilization

TL;DR: New methods of crosslinking enzyme molecules inside a matrix with or without an inactive protein are described, finding that fragile enzyme systems, for instance those using mobile cofactors, can be efficiently immobilized.
Journal ArticleDOI

Water insoluble enzyme columns: Kinetic study on steady state and transient conditions

TL;DR: The kinetic behavior of water insoluble enzyme columns was studied using the hydrolysis of GPNA (N‐glutaryl‐L‐phenylalanine‐p‐nitroanilide) by α‐chymotrypsin as a model to test the convection of metabolites, enzyme reaction, diffusion of metabolites across porous particles and the kinetic behavior.
