Artificial periodic irregularities, hydrodynamic instabilities, and dynamic processes in the mesosphere—lower thermosphere

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present the results of measuring characteristics of the ionosphere and neutral atmosphere by the method of resonant scattering of radio waves by artificial periodic irregularities of ionospheric plasma in the altitude range 90-120 km.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of acoustic gravity waves on variations in the lower- ionosphere parameters as observed using artificial periodic inhomogeneities

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of acoustic gravity waves on variations in the atmospheric parameters of the lower ionosphere was studied by the method of radio-wave scattering on artificial periodic inhomogeneities of the ionospheric plasma, induced by powerful radiowave heating of ionosphere.
Journal ArticleDOI

Vertical Velocities and Temperature of the Neutral Component in the Upper Atmosphere

TL;DR: In this article, the velocity of the vertical plasma motion and the temperature of the neutral component in the upper atmosphere were measured by the resonance scattering of radio waves by artificial periodic irregularities in the ionospheric plasma.
Journal ArticleDOI

Variations in the microwave radiation of the mesophere during heating of the ionosphere with high-power radiowaves

TL;DR: In this paper, the results of microwave observations of ozone radiation in the middle atmosphere during modification of the ionosphere by high-power short radio waves on March 27-28, 2011 were presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Internal Gravity Waves in the Lower Thermosphere with Linear Temperature Profile: Theory and Experiment

TL;DR: In this paper, the problem of internal gravity waves in a medium with linear altitude profile of equilibrium temperature was considered and a solution to the initial linearized system of equations for weak disturbances of the thermospheric parameters, such as pressure, density, temperature, and velocity of the medium, was obtained.
