Reliability centred maintenance in a thermal power plant: a case study

TL;DR: A case study of the outage review data of a thermal power plant in Punjab has been done to single out vital few reasons of forced outages and feasibility of implementation of RCM has also been discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Terminal Reliability Assessment for a New Gamma Minus Multistage Interconnection Networks

TL;DR: Comparisons prove that the new gamma minus networks has better reliability performance than gamma networks, as it has shortest path from source to destination, so it possess less delay with disjoint minimum path set availability which has not been possessed by gamma network.
Journal ArticleDOI

Availability Performance Analysis of Thermal Power Plants

TL;DR: This case study presents the availability evaluation method of thermal power plants for conducting performance analysis in Indian environment and highlights procedure for finding critical plants/units/subsystems and helps in deciding preventive maintenance program.
Journal ArticleDOI

Enhancing reliability of thermal power plant by implementing RCM policy and developing reliability prediction model: a case study

TL;DR: The implementation of RCM policy in thermal power plant is presented as a case study for strategic planning of maintenance schedules to resolve the problem of forced outages, long downtimes and poor reliability.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Effect of reliability of wind power converters in productivity of wind turbine

TL;DR: In this paper, the reliability modeling in terms of Reliability block diagram (RBD) of different configurations of power electronic converter has been implemented, which shows that case2 configuration of power converter enhances the reliability by twenty four percent in case of squirrel cage induction generator (SCIG) and twenty five percent in the case of doubly fed induction generator(DFIG) based wind turbines.
