Giuseppe Grosso,Stefano Marventano,Silvio Buscemi,Alessandro Scuderi,Margherita Matalone,Alessio Platania,Gabriele Giorgianni,Stefania Rametta,Francesca Nolfo,Fabio Galvano,Antonio Mistretta +10 more
TL;DR: The KIDMED scores were inversely associated with adolescents’ intake of sweets, fast foods, fried foods, and sugary drinks, and directly with fruit, vegetables, pasta, fish, and cheese intakes, and urban-living adolescents were less likely to eat fruit and more prone to consume meat, sugary drink, and fast food than rural- Living adolescents.
Journal ArticleDOI

Stefano Marventano,Maria João Forjaz,Giuseppe Grosso,Antonio Mistretta,Gabriele Giorgianni,Alessio Platania,Gangi S,Francesco Basile,Antonio Biondi +8 more
TL;DR: Despite that CRC patients have a relatively good quality of life compared with the general population, a wide range of intervention could be undertaken to improve their QoL.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mediterranean diet adherence rates in Sicily, southern Italy
Giuseppe Grosso,Stefano Marventano,Gabriele Giorgianni,Teodoro Raciti,Fabio Galvano,Antonio Mistretta +5 more
TL;DR: A slow but concrete moving away from traditional patterns has been observed in younger people and low educated people, and public health interventions should focus on these target populations in order to improve the quality of their diet.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: This study revealed low VC rates among HCWs for all the vaccinations, and measures to increase VC are therefore necessary in order to prevent HCWs from becoming a source of transmission of infections with high morbidity and/or mortality both within hospitals and outside.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evaluation of four comorbidity indices and Charlson comorbidity index adjustment for colorectal cancer patients.
Stefano Marventano,Giuseppe Grosso,Antonio Mistretta,Marta Bogusz-Czerniewicz,Roberta Ferranti,Francesca Nolfo,Gabriele Giorgianni,Stefania Rametta,Filippo Drago,Francesco Basile,Antonio Biondi +10 more
TL;DR: The comorbidity assessment tools provided better prognostic prevision of prospective outcome of colorectal cancer patients than singleComorbid conditions and the modified version of the CCI resulted in a higher predictive power compared with other indices studied.
