Peripheral venous loop.

Abstract: The case of a 52-year-old woman with a congenital preretlnal venous loop is described. In previously reported cases of prepapillary vascular loops at least one limb of the loop entered or exited the vascular loop from the optic disc or immediate peripapillary region. In the described case, both the ascending and descending limbs of the preretinal loop were remote from the optic nerve head.
