Journal ArticleDOI

Plasma levels of norethisterone in women receiving norethisterone oenanthate intramuscularly.

TL;DR: In this paper, Norethisterone oenanthate (200 mg) was injected intramuscularly into four women and their plasma levels of radio-immunoassayable norethamerone, oestradiol and progesterone were measured.
Journal ArticleDOI

LOW-DOSE CONTINUOUS CHLORMADINONE ACETATE AS AN ORAL CONTRACEPTIVE: A Clinical Trial

TL;DR: Low-dose continuous chlormadinone acetate 0.5 mg may have a place in contraceptive practice for women who are lactating and wish to use an oral contraceptive, or for those who are spacing their families and are not over anxious about further pregnancies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Return of fertility in women discontinuing injectable contraceptives.

TL;DR: Pardthaisong et al. as mentioned in this paper showed that fertility is not impaired once the progestogen is cleared from the body, even after discontinuation of injectable contraceptives.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of norethisterone oenanthate on serum gonadotrophin levels

TL;DR: The extent of suppression of gonadotrophins varied between the subjects (from 30–75% of control values for FSH and from 50–80% for LH), but the degree of suppression in any one subject was similar, and in these women plasma levels of norethisterone had declined to undetectable values within eight weeks of injection.
Journal ArticleDOI

The effects of intramuscular norethisterone oenanthate used as a contraceptive on intravenous glucose tolerance and on blood coagulation factors VII and X.

TL;DR: There was no significant effect on the intravenous glucose tolerance, prothrombin time, or on plasma coagulation factors VII and X, further confirming the safety of norethisterone oenanthate when used as a short‐term injectable contraceptive.
