Ergostane-type steroids from the Cameroonian 'white tiama' Entandrophragma angolense.

TL;DR: Two new ergostane-type steroids named tiamenones A and B were isolated from the bark of Entandrophragma angolense (Meliaceae) along with ten known compounds identified as 20S-hydroxy-4,6,24(28)-ergostatrien-3-one, β-amyrin, oleanolic acid, asperphenamate, sucrose and daucosterol.

Antioxidant norbergenin derivatives from the leaves of Diospyros gilletii De Wild (Ebenaceae)

TL;DR: Two new norbergenin derivatives, 4-O p-hydroxybenzoylnorbergin (1) and 11-O-(E)-cinnamoyl nergenin (2), were isolated from the leaves of Diospyros gilletii De Wild along with nine known compounds, including norbergin(3), β-sitosterol (10), quercitol (11), betulin (12), lupeol (13), corosolic acid (14), and quercic acid (15).
