Journal ArticleDOI
Pulmonary Embolism and Deep Vein Thrombosis in COVID-19: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.
Young-Joo Suh,Hyunsook Hong,Mickaël Ohana,Florian Bompard,Marie-Pierre Revel,Clarissa Valle,Alban Gervaise,Julien Poissy,Sophie Susen,Sophie Susen,Guillaume Hékimian,Mathieu Artifoni,Daniel Periard,Damien Contou,Julie Delaloye,Bienvenido Sanchez,Cheng Fang,Giorgio Garzillo,Hasti Robbie,Soon Ho Yoon +19 more
TL;DR: The cutoffs of D-dimer levels used to exclude PE in preexisting guidelines seem applicable to patients with COVID-19, and more than half of patients with PE lacked DVT.
Journal ArticleDOI
Intraoperative microvascular assessment with contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) during uterine artery embolisation (UAE): a case report and literature review
Filippo Pesapane,Filippo Pesapane,Benjamin Leenknegt,Benjamin Leenknegt,Thoraya Ammar,Silvia Panella,Giorgio Garzillo,Dean Y. Huang +7 more
TL;DR: A case with innovative use of intraoperative contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS) for the assessment of vascularity of the targeted fibroid to determine the endpoint of embolization perioperatively affirm the reported usefulness and the practical feasibility and highlight that caution should be made by operators in cases of multiple fibroids.
Journal ArticleDOI
TuLIP (Tunnelled Line Intraluminal Plasty): An Alternative Technique for Salvaging Haemodialysis Catheter Patency in Fibrin Sheath Formation.
R. Ahmed,S. A. Chapman,Priyan Tantrige,A. Hussain,Edward W. Johnston,Cheng Fang,Thoraya Ammar,Dean Y. Huang,C. J. Wilkins,Giorgio Garzillo,Gibran T. Yusuf +10 more
TL;DR: TuLIP may have a role in extending catheter lifespan and delaying more invasive intervention in Renal patients with a tunnelled haemodialysis line at risk of fibrin ‘sheath’ formation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pulmonary artery pseudoaneurysm embolisation to treat massive haemoptysis due to metastatic oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma
TL;DR: A 57-year-old woman with metastatic oral squamous cell carcinoma presented to the emergency department with massive haemoptysis and laboratory tests showed a mild coagulopathy for which vitamin K and tranexemic were found.
