TL;DR: In this paper, a new trigger scheme for the selection of short-lived particles was proposed and the results were obtained in a test run of the WA82 experiment at the CERN Omega spectrometer.
Abstract: We present the results on a new trigger scheme for the selection of short lived particles. These results were obtained in a test run of the WA82 experiment at the CERN Omega spectrometer. We have measured, for charmed particles, an enrichment factor of ∼ 15 over an interaction trigger.
