Coseismic ruptures of the 24 August 2016, Mw 6.0 Amatrice earthquake (central Italy)
Stefano Pucci,P. M. De Martini,Riccardo Civico,F. Villani,Rosa Nappi,Tullio Ricci,Raffaele Azzaro,Carlo Alberto Brunori,Marco Caciagli,Francesca Romana Cinti,Vincenzo Sapia,R. De Ritis,Francesco Mazzarini,Simone Tarquini,Germana Gaudiosi,Rosella Nave,Giuliana Alessio,Alessandra Smedile,Lu. Alfonsi,Luigi Cucci,Daniela Pantosti +20 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a geological survey collected the coseismic effects observed at the surface in order to evaluate two competing hypotheses about their nature: surface faulting versus gravitational deformation, and the most significant geological effect is a 5.2 km-long alignment of ground ruptures along the Mt. Vettore Fault-System.

TL;DR: In this paper, the EMERGEO Working Group (an INGV team devoted to earthquake aftermath geological survey) set off to investigate any coseismic effects on the natural environment, and surveyed about 750 km2 and collected more than 3200 geological observations as differently oriented tectonic fractures together with intermediate-to small-sized landslides, that were mapped in the whole area.
Journal ArticleDOI
Liquefaction phenomena associated with the Emilia earthquake sequence of May-June 2012 (Northern Italy)

Near- and far-field survey report of the 30 December 2002 Stromboli (Southern Italy) tsunami
Alessandra Maramai,Laura Graziani,Giuliana Alessio,Pierfrancesco Burrato,Laura Colini,Luigi Cucci,Rosa Nappi,Anna Nardi,Giuseppe Vilardo +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a field survey of the tsunami effects in the near field, including all the Aeolian Islands, was performed, along the coastline of Campania and Sicily, where the effects of the 30 December tsunami were observed but not directly quantified.
