A method for lining a sewer pipe incorporate the steps of continuously forming a liner of helically wound strip, the strip having complementary engaging side formations, and feeding the liner into the sewer pipe. The ends of the liner are sealed to the sewer pipe and cementitious grout is pumped under pressure into the space between the liner and the sewer pipe to bond the liner is position.

This invention contemplates method and apparatus for laying rodent-protected cable from a moving vehicle, using unprotected cable to which sheathed cementitious material is applied prior to subterrain burial. The sheathing serves only to retain shape of fresh, unset cementitious material around the cable in the course of handling and transport within and from the vehicle structure, to the buried position of the cable. The sheathing being degradable (in the course of time) and no longer needed once the sheathed cementitious material has set, after burial.

Method and means for protecting buried cable from rodent damage

The proposed pipeline is made up of pipe sections connected in succession by elastic outer coupling elements having their entire surface brought into intimate contact with pipe section joints. Provided at the ends of the pipe sections are recesses for accommodating coupling elements therein. The method for laying the above pipeline involves successive joining of its pipe sections by means of continuously placing several layers of a binder-impregnated tape onto the joints. The pipeline is lowered into a trench before the binder sets. The machine for carrying out the method includes a carriage with a frame on which there is mounted a mechanism for connecting, pressure-sealing, and insulating pipe sections of the pipeline. This mechanism is arranged at an angle to the path of travel of the carriage and capable of reciprocating and rotating relative to the pipe sections being joined into a pipeline.

Method of laying a pipeline

The claimed pipeline is made of coaxially arranged envelopes rigidly connected to each other, in which case the internal envelope is made of nonhermetic layers and hermetically sealed layers (3, 4) and the whole set of envelopes is impregnated with a binder (5) and forms a monolithic structure, the external envelope (1) being made of a ground (2). The method consists in forming hole (11) in the ground and insertion into the ground of the nonhermetic layers and hermetically sealed layers (3, 4) of the internal envelope, impregnation of its ground (2) with a binder (5) and followed by expansion and densing of the envelopes by producing an excess pressure of the working medium in the pipeline (9). The device includes a propelling unit (16), on the frame (17) of which there are mounted a working member (18) for forming a hole (11) in the ground (2) and a mechanism for insertion of the layers (11) of the internal envelope of the pipeline (9) made of two units (19 and 20), one of which is mounted stationarily above the hole (11) and used for insertion of the hermetically sealed layer (4) of the envelope and the other unit is mounted on the propelling unit (16) and is used for insertion of the nonhermetic layers (3) into the hole (11); the device is also provided with a means (21) for fixing the ends (15) of the envelope, said means being installed at the origin of these layers.

Pipeline, a method of laying the pipeline and a device for effecting said method

The present pipeline consists of coaxially mounted and rigidly interconnected envelopes the inner one being made of non-hermetical and hermetical layers (3, 4) and the totality of the envelopes being saturated with a binding agent (5) and thus cemented together in a single monolith while the external envelope (1) is made of the ground (2). The method consists in forming an opening (11) and introducing into it non-hermetical and hermetical layers (3, 4) of the inner envelope, saturating the ground (2) and the inner envelope with a binding agent (5) and enlargening, with simultaneous consolidation, of the totality of the envelopes by means of creation of an excessive pressure of a working agent inside the pipeline (9). The device comprises propulsor (16) on the frame (17) of which are mounted a working organ (18) for forming the opening (11) in the ground (2) and a mechanism for inserting in the formed opening (11) the layers of the inner envelope of the pipeline (9), that mechanism consisting of two units (19 and 20), one of which is mounted stationarily above the opening (11) and is intended for inserting the hermetical layers (4) of the envelope whereas the other is mounted on the propulsor (16) and is used for inserting the non-hermetical layers (3) in the opening (11), the device being also provided with a means (21) for fixation of the edges (15) of the layers of the envelope mounted at the starting point of forming those layers.
