Last millennium palaeoenvironmental changes from a Baltic bog (Poland) inferred from stable isotopes, pollen, plant macrofossils and testate amoebae
Mariucz Lamentowicz,Anna Cedro,Mariusz Gałka,Tomasz Goslar,Grażyna Miotk-Szpiganowicz,Edward A. D. Mitchell,Jacek Pawlyta +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a multiproxy high-resolution record from Stązki mire, an ombrotrophic mire located in northern Poland 35 km from the Baltic sea coast.
Journal ArticleDOI
Palaeoenvironmental changes in Central Europe (NE Poland) during the last 6200 years reconstructed from a high-resolution multi-proxy peat archive
Mariusz Gałka,Grażyna Miotk-Szpiganowicz,Miriam Marczewska,Jan Barabach,Willem Oscar van der Knaap,Mariusz Lamentowicz +5 more
TL;DR: Peat deposits from an ombrotrophic bog (north-eastern Poland) were analyzed to reconstruct peatland development and environmental changes in this article, which included the high-resolution analysis of plant macrofossils, pollen and testate amoebae supported by radiocarbon dating.
Journal ArticleDOI
Palaeohydrology, fires and vegetation succession in the southern Baltic during the last 7500 years reconstructed from a raised bog based on multi-proxy data.
Mariusz Gałka,Grażyna Miotk-Szpiganowicz,Tomasz Goslar,Marcin Jęśko,Willem Oscar van der Knaap,Mariusz Lamentowicz +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the first 7500 yr long multi-proxy record from a raised bog located at the southern Baltic coast, Poland was presented, where the authors used testate amoebae, plant macrofossils, pollen and microscopic charcoal to reconstruct environmental changes in Pomerania (northern Poland, Kaszuby Lakeland) from a 7m thick peat archive of Stązki bog dated 5500 BC-AD 1250.
Journal ArticleDOI
Impact of sand extraction from the bottom of the southern Baltic Sea on the relief and sediments of the seabed
Szymon Uścinowicz,Wojciech Jegliński,Grażyna Miotk-Szpiganowicz,Jarosław Nowak,Urszula Pączek,Piotr Przezdziecki,Kazimierz Szefler,Grzegorz Poręba +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, three research cruises were carried out in Polish waters of the Baltic Sea, NW of the Gulf of Gdansk, at a water depth of 15-17m.
