Recent development trends in metal forming
Zbigniew Gronostajski,Zbigniew Pater,Lukasz Madej,Andrzej Gontarz,L. Lisiecki,A. Lukaszek-Solek,J. Luksza,Sebastian Mróz,Z. Muskalski,W. Muzykiewicz,Maciej Pietrzyk,R. E. Sliwa,Janusz Tomczak,Sylwia Wiewiórowska,Grzegorz Winiarski,J. Zasadzinski,S. Ziółkiewicz +16 more
TL;DR: In this article, major, recent developmental trends in the field of metal forming are presented both from an experimental and numerical point of view, including rolling of long flat products, cross wedge rolling, open die forging, die forging and stamping.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of Annealing Time and Temperature Parameters on the Microstructure, Hardness, and Strain-Hardening Coefficients of 42CrMo4 Steel.
TL;DR: The employed heat treatment schemes cause the initial ferritic-pearlitic microstructure to develop granular and semi-lamellar precipitation of cementite enriched with Mo and Cr in the ferrite matrix and, consequently, affects the growth of α-Fe grains.
Journal ArticleDOI
Numerical and Experimental Study of Producing Flanges on Hollow Parts by Extrusion with a Movable Sleeve
Journal ArticleDOI
Flange formation in aluminium alloy EN AW 6060 tubes by radial extrusion with the use of a limit ring
TL;DR: In this article, the results of tube flange forming by radial extrusion were presented, and the results demonstrated that the use of a limit ring has a positive effect on the state of stress in the extruded flange, which allows to produce relatively big diameters.
Journal ArticleDOI
Numerical Analysis of a Six Stage Forging Process for Producing Hollow Flanged Parts from Tubular Blanks
TL;DR: In this paper, a numerical analysis of a cold forging process for a hollow flanged part was performed using Deform 2D/3D, and the analysis was made based on the analysis of product geometry quality and process parameters, including the Cockcroft-Latham ductile fracture criterion and forming forces.
