Assessment of mine post-closure strategies by integrating evidential reasoning and fuzzy cognitive maps: Toward sustainable mining policy
TL;DR: In this article , the authors proposed a framework based on evidential reasoning and fuzzy cognitive map to evaluate post-closure strategies for open-pit mine reclamation, with a focus on sustainable mining.
Journal ArticleDOI
Drinking water management strategies for distribution networks: An integrated performance assessment framework.
TL;DR: In this paper , an integrated framework combining life cycle thinking and water quality assessment techniques was developed to evaluate the DWMS' performance in terms of water quality, environment, and economics, and six DWMSs were assessed using the integrated framework as a case study.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of ultrasonic homogenization on crude oil-water emulsion stability
TL;DR: In this paper , the effect of ultrasonic processing parameters (power and sonication time), emulsion characteristics (water salinity and pH) and their interaction on oil-in-water emulsion stability for Cold Lake Blend (CLB) crude oil was evaluated by measuring creaming index, emulsion turbidity and microscopic image analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Editorial: Waste management of petroleum hydrocarbons in marine environment
TL;DR: In this article , the authors presented a study of NRPOP at the University of Northern British Columbia (UBC) and the School of Environmental Science and Engineering (SE&E) at Shandong University in China.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Challenges and Critical Water Quality Issues in Micro Water Systems inBritish Columbia, Canada
TL;DR: In this article, the most critical water quality issue is related to Manganese (Mn) in drinking water, which can be solved easily with common disinfection processes (e.g., hypochlorite solution), and 61% of advisories are due to lack of assessment data.
