A refrigerator oil composition prepared by blending a base oil comprising a mineral or synthetic oil with at least one member selected from the group consisting of metal salts of inorganic phosphoric acid (e.g. potassium phosphate), amine salts of inorganic phosphoric acid (e.g. octylamine salt of phosphoric acid), metal salts of organic phosphoric acid (e.g. dipotassium lauryl phosphate), amine salts of organic phosphoric acid (e.g. monooctylamine salt of dioleyl phosphate), metal salts of organic phosphonic acid (e.g. dipotassium oleylphosphonate), amine salts of organic phosphonic acid (e.g. octylamine salt of dilaurylphosphonic acid), metal salts of organic phosphorous acid (e.g. sodium dioleyl phosphite), and amine salts of organic phosphorous acid (e.g. oleylamine salt of dioleyl phosphite). The composition has an excellent lubricating performance, improves the lubricity of the interface between an aluminum material and a steel material, can inhibit seizure and wear, and is suitable as a lubricating oil for refrigerators using a hydrochlorofluorocarbon refrigerant which does not cause environmental pollution, such as R134a.

A refrigerating machine oil composition which is less apt to cause capillary tube clogging in the case where a hydrofluorocarbon, hydrocarbon, ether, carbon dioxide, or ammonia refrigerant is used. The composition comprises a base oil comprising at least one oxygenic synthetic oil selected among polyvinyl ethers and polyol esters and either a specific polyalkylene glycol alkyl ether or an alkylbenzene having a number-average molecular weight of 100 to 1,000, the amounts of the ether and the alkylbenzene being 1 to 20 wt.% and 1 to 40 wt.%, respectively, based on the whole composition.

The working fluid composition for a refrigerating machine of the invention is characterized by comprising an ester of a polyhydric alcohol and a fatty acid with a content of a C5-C9 branched fatty acid of 50-100% by mole, and a fluoropropene refrigerant and/or trifluoroiodomethane refrigerant. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant composition for a compression-type refrigeration cycle, or a heat pump cycle, using carbon dioxide refrigerant, excellent in lubricity even when used for dissolving the carbon dioxide refrigerant, excellent in fluidity when used in a gas cooler, an expansion valve, and an evaporator, exhibiting enough oil-return characteristics, and further exhibiting excellent stability when coexisting with the carbon dioxide. SOLUTION: This lubricant composition is used as a lubricant for a vapor compression-type refrigeration unit where carbon dioxide is used as a refrigerant, and contains a lubricant base oil having the following characteristics as a main component: a 10%-distillation point of >=400 deg.C and an 80%-distillation point of =100.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-viscosity lubricating oil composition which is effective for power saving, deposits little sludge on a compressor's delivery valve even after a long-term use, can prevent a slide part from being worn in spite of its low viscosity, and can allow a stable refrigerating machine operation without lowering its efficiency over a long period of time. SOLUTION: The lubricating oil composition for the refrigerating machine using a 3 or 4C hydrocarbon as a refrigerant has a kinematic viscosity of 8 to 150 mm 2 /s (0°C), a sulfur content of not higher than 500 ppm, and an aniline point of not lower than 50°C. Desirably, the lubricating oil composition for the refrigerating machine comprises a mineral-oil-based lubricating oil having a kinematic viscosity at 0°C of 10 to 100 mm 2 /s, a viscosity index of not lower than 80, a sulfur content of not higher than 500 ppm, an aniline point of not lower than 50°C, and an aromatic component content of not higher than 10 wt.% (as measured by column chromatography). SOLUTION: In the electric insulating oil, ester comprising trimethylol propane and/or pentaerythritol, and straight chain fatty acid having 7-18 carbons, 3,5,5-trimethylhexan acid having a molar ratio of 76:24-90:10, the straight chain fatty acid having 7-18 carbons, and 3,5,5-trimethylhexan acid and 2-ethylhexan acid having a molar ratio of 60:23:17-85:10:5 is used as main constituent. Electric insulating oil

PURPOSE:To obtain a refrigerating machine oil having excellent compatibility with a refrigerant containing trifluoromethane or pentafluoroethane, consisting essentially of an ester oil synthesized from a polyhydric alcohol and a monofunctional fatty acid. CONSTITUTION:A refrigerating machine oil consisting essentially of an ester oil synthesized from (A) 1-15C polyhydric alcohol such as neopentyl glycol or trimethylolpropane and (B) 3-12C monofunctional fatty acid such as propionic acid, butanoic acid or nonanoic acid, having excellent lubricating properties, thermal stability, electrical insulating properties and hydrolysis resistance. A refrigerating machine oil consisting essentially of a complex ester oil synthesized from the component A and a mixed carboxylic acid of the component B and 4-14C polybasic acid is preferable.
