Rare earth elements and neodymium isotopes in world river sediments revisited
Germain Bayon,Germain Bayon,Samuel Toucanne,Charlotte Skonieczny,Luc André,Sylvain Bermell,Sandrine Cheron,Bernard Dennielou,Joel Etoubleau,Nicolas Freslon,Nicolas Freslon,T. Gauchery,Yoan Germain,Stephan J. Jorry,Guillemette Ménot,Laurence Monin,Emmanuel Ponzevera,Marie-Laure Rouget,Marie-Laure Rouget,Kazuyo Tachikawa,Jean-Alix Barrat +20 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors report on elemental concentrations and neodymium (Nd) isotopic compositions for a large number of sediments collected near the mouth of rivers worldwide, including some of the world's major rivers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Carbon isotopes in ombrogenic peat bog plants as climatic indicators: calibration from an altitudinal transect in Switzerland
TL;DR: In this paper, a set of modern plant species (both vascular plants and mosses) along an altitudinal transect in Switzerland were measured by an on-line combustion/continuous flow method on both bulk plant material and the α-cellulose fraction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Early Reactivation of European Rivers During the Last Deglaciation
Guillemette Ménot,Edouard Bard,Frauke Rostek,Johan W.H. Weijers,Ellen C. Hopmans,Stefan Schouten,Jaap S. Sinninghe Damsté +6 more
TL;DR: An abrupt and early reactivation of the European hydrological cycle at the onset of the last deglaciation is shown, leading to intense discharge of the Channel River into the Bay of Biscay.
Journal ArticleDOI
Late Quaternary co-seismic sedimentation in the Sea of Marmara's deep basins
Christian Beck,Bernard Mercier de Lépinay,Jean-Luc Schneider,Michel Cremer,Namik Çağatay,Evrard Wendenbaum,Sébastien Boutareaud,Guillemette Ménot,Sabine Schmidt,Olivier Weber,Kadir Eris,Rolando Armijo,Bertrand Meyer,N. Jaouen,Marmacore Cruise Party +26 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the last 20 kyr of the sedimentary fill (lacustrine before 12 kyr BP) through giant piston coring onboard R/V MARION-DUFRESNE (MARMACORE Cruise, 2001) and chirp subbottom profiler onboard R /V ATALANTE during MARMARASCARPS Cruise (2002).
Journal ArticleDOI
A revised calendar age for the last reconnection of the Black Sea to the global ocean
TL;DR: In this article, a review of the sedimentary expressions of the IMI and DLS boundaries was performed to better define the actual calendar age for the last reconnection, and a correlation reconciles the apparent inconsistency in the published radiocarbon dataset, and provides the reference for reservoir age calculations and which can be directly calibrated.
