Color Science. Concepts and Methods, Quantitative Data and Formulas
TL;DR: An encyclopedic survey of color science can be found in this article, which includes details of light sources, color filters, physical detectors of radiant energy, and the working concepts in color matching, discrimination, and adaptation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spectral Distribution of Typical Daylight as a Function of Correlated Color Temperature
Deane B. Judd,David L. MacAdam,Gunter Wyszecki,H. W. Budde,H. R. Condit,S. T. Henderson,J. L. Simonds +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the spectral distribution of 622 samples of daylight (skylight, and sunlight plus skylight) have been subjected to characteristic vector analysis, as composite data and in three subgroups (99 distributions measured by Budde; 249, by Condit; and 274, by Henderson and Hodgkiss).
Journal ArticleDOI
New Color-Matching Ellipses
Gunter Wyszecki,G. H. Fielder +1 more
TL;DR: Three new sets of color-matching experiments have been made by three observers binocularly viewing a bipartite field of a three-primary colorimeter, and it appears that fundamentally different line elements can reproduce almost equally well a given set of color -matching ellipses.
