La tectonique active de la région nord-algérienne
TL;DR: Yelles-Chaouche et al. as mentioned in this paper localisee dans la region nord du pays, essentiellement dans le Tell, and the deformation s'exprime, tout le long du Tell, le long des faisceaux de plis de direction NE-SW.
Journal ArticleDOI
Plio-Quaternary reactivation of the Neogene margin off NW Algiers, Algeria: The Khayr al Din bank
Abdelkarim Yelles,A. Domzig,Jacques Déverchère,Rabah Bracene,Bernard Mercier de Lépinay,Pierre Strzerzynski,Guillaume Bertrand,Azzedine Boudiaf,Thierry Winter,A. Kherroubi,Pascal Le Roy,H. Djellit +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a new tectonic framework for the Algiers region, in which the main south-dipping offshore structure appears to be nowadays the main driving fault system, as also found further east in the Boumerdes (M 6.8) 2003 rupture zone.
Journal ArticleDOI
Deep structure of the continental margin and basin off Greater Kabylia, Algeria - New insights from wide-angle seismic data modeling and multichannel seismic interpretation
Chafik Aidi,Marie-Odile Beslier,Abdel Karim Yelles-Chaouche,F. Klingelhoefer,Rabah Bracene,A. Galve,Abdallah Bounif,Laure Schenini,Lamine Hamai,Philippe Schnurle,H. Djellit,Françoise Sage,Philippe Charvis,Jacques Déverchère +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, two coincident wide-angle and reflection seismic profiles were acquired in central Algeria, offshore Greater Kabylia, together with gravimetric, bathymetric and magnetic data.
Book ChapterDOI
The Ain Temouchent (Algeria) Earthquake of December 22 nd , 1999
TL;DR: In this paper, the seismic moment and source dimension have been obtained from spectral analysis, and the focal mechanism has been studied by using broadband data at regional and teleseismic distances, and different methods.
Journal ArticleDOI
The new Algerian Digital Seismic Network (ADSN): towards an earthquake early-warning system
Abdelkrim Yelles-Chaouche,T. Allili,A. Alili,W. Messemen,H. Beldjoudi,F. Semmane,A. Kherroubi,H. Djellit,Y. Larbes,S. Haned,A. Deramchi,A. Amrani,A. Chouiref,F.M. Chaoui,K. Khellaf,C. Nait Sidi Said +15 more
TL;DR: The current strategy is to improve the data quality, to increase the density of the network by adding about 50 new stations, to reduce the processing time, and to reduced the time needed to send out an alert message, which should lead to greatly improved network performance.
