Open Quantum Systems
TL;DR: In this paper, a generalization of the fundamental constraints on quantum mechanical diffusion coefficients which appear in the master equation for the damped quantum oscillator is presented; the Schrodinger, Heisenberg and Weyl-Wigner-Moyal representations of the Lindblad equation are given explicitly.

Open quantum system of two coupled harmonic oscillators for application in deep inelastic heavy ion collisions
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors derived master equations for a system consisting of two harmonic oscillators for the description of the charge and mass asymmetry degrees of freedom in deep inelastic collisions in nuclear physics.
Journal ArticleDOI
Damping of angular momentum in an open quantum system within the lindblad theory
TL;DR: In this article, simple models for damping of angular momentum are studied in the framework of the Lindblad theory which opens a quantum-mechanical system, and three types of operators are considered for the opening of the system, namely operators proportional to the components of the angular momentum operator, to generators of the proper Lorentz group and to a linear combination of coordinates and momenta.
