Abstract: To provide a technique for accurately judging a device using a fluid from the viewpoint of variation width of flow rate value. An ultrasonic flow meter (7) measures the flow rate value of a gas flowing into the flow passage (6) of a gas meter (16). A measured flow rate information storage part (8) stores the measured flow rate values. A measured flow rate value variation width-calculating part (9) calculates the measured flow rate value variation width corresponding to the varied amount of the measured flow rate values within a predetermined period. An instrument discriminating part (11) discriminates an instrument using the fluid or leakage by judging whether the measured flow rate value variation width is equal to or less than a predetermined threshold.

Abstract: A gas meter device is provided which is configured in a manner that even if a user takes an unauthorized action such as the removal of a gas meter device in order to use gas without authorization, since the generation of a particular flow-rate change profile different from a normal flow-rate change profile of a gas appliance is detected, the sign of the tamper of the gas can be detected, whereby the tamper of the gas can be prevented. The gas meter device includes an appliance determining unit 6 for determining a gas appliance being used and a tamper determining unit 7 which determines that the gas is used without authorization in the case where the particular flow-rate change profile different from an appliance determining value registered in a registration storage unit 5 is generated.

Abstract: There is provided a technique for accurately identifying an appliance which uses the fluid from a viewpoint of the range of a change in flow rate value. An ultrasonic flow rate measuring device 7 measures a flow rate value of gas flowing in a flow passage 6 of a gas meter 16, and a measured flow rate information storage section 8 stores a measured flow rate value. A measured flow rate value difference calculation section 9 calculates a measured flow rate value difference within a predetermined period corresponding to an amount of change occurred in a measured flow rate value. An appliance identifying section 11 identifies an appliance which uses the fluid or leakage by determining whether or not the measured flow rate value difference is a predetermined threshold or less.

A flow measurement apparatus 100 has a flow measurement unit 12 that measures an amount of fluid flowing through a passageway, a determination zone storage unit 16 that allocates and stores a flow measured by the flow measurement unit 12 into determination zones classified by combination of a plurality of conditions; a grouping unit 18 that groups determination zones according to appliances to be used on the basis of determination-zone-specific storage values stored in the determination zone storage unit 16 and that registers the grouped determination zones; and an integration unit 20 that integrates a flow value for each of the determination zones registered by the grouping unit 18. Thus, a flow is integrated for each determination zone grouped according to an appliance. An appliance is determined by reference to a database including the integrated data.

The flow rate measurement device (100) has a flow rate measurement section (12) for measuring the rate of flow in a flow path, a discrimination zone storage section (16) for allocating and storing the rate of flow measured by the flow rate measurement section (12), the rate of flow being allocated and stored in discrimination zones sectioned according to combinations of different conditions, a grouping section (18) for registering a discrimination zone obtained by grouping storage values for each instrument of use, the storage values being values for each discrimination zone and stored in the discrimination zone storage section (16), and an integration section (20) for integrating flow rate values for each discrimination zone registered by the grouping section (18). Instrument discrimination is performed using the integrated data while referring to database.

Abstract: Intended is to detect the introduction of a new tool properly in the use environment of a flow rate measuring device. In a gas meter (100), an ultrasonic flow meter (104) measures the flow rate of a gas to flow in a passage (102). A new event detecting unit (108) detects the introduction of a new gas tool from the unsteady behaviors of the gas flow rate due to a test run of a new gas tool introduced. A transmit-receive unit (110) transmits a new event signal indicating the introduction of the new gas tool detected by the new event detecting unit (108), to a center device (20) via a network (30). The unsteady state is exemplified by the air purge of the gas tool.

Abstract: A gas meter apparatus by which illegal use of gas is prevented by grasping the sign of the illegal use by detecting the occurrence of a specific flow rate variation profile different from the flow rate variation profile of a normal gas apparatus even when a user makes an illegal behavior such as removal of the gas meter apparatus for the purpose of using gas illegally. The gas meter apparatus has an apparatus discrimination means (6) which judges the gas apparatus used, and an illegal use discrimination means (7) which judges illegal use of the gas in occurrence of the specific flow rate variation profile different from an apparatus discrimination value registered in a registration storage means (5).
