The invention discloses a trolley bus power system and a power-grid-connected operation method and a power-grid-free operation method thereof. The trolley bus power system comprises a motor controller connected with a bus of a whole vehicle and used for controlling a motor, wherein the bus of the whole vehicle is used for being connected with an external power grid. The trolley bus power system further comprises a vehicle-mounted battery, a battery management system of the vehicle-mounted battery, a super capacitor and a capacitor management system of the super capacitor. The motor controller, the battery management system and the capacitor management system are all connected with the controller in communication mode. On the basis of the existing hybrid power supply of an external power grid and the vehicle-mounted battery, the super capacitor is added, a characteristic of fast-charging fast-discharging of the super capacitor is used, three types of power supplies are controlled in coordinate mode, the super capacitor is used preferentially to involve in energy distribution during driving and braking, the super capacitor is used preferentially to conduct discharging during driving of a trolley bus, large electric power can be provided in a starting and accelerating stage, and power performance of the trolley bus is improved. During braking of the trolley bus, the super capacitor preferentially absorbs the feedback electric energy of motor braking, and electric consumption is reduced.

SOLUTION: The circuit arrangement of the vehicle in this invention includes a current voltage control part 2A for controlling a current and voltage, a motor 5 driven by an output from the current voltage control part 2A, the condensed part 1 supplying the power source when the motor 5 is driven, and a charging contact shoe 3A for supplying the power source to the power accumulator 1. The current voltage control part 2A is operated as an inverter converting DC power into AC power in the case of supplying the power source to the motor 5 from the power accumulator 1, and operated as a converter in the case of supplying the power source to the power accumulator 1 from the charging contact shoe 3A. SOLUTION: The main circuit system includes: a battery which accumulates power; an inverter circuit which receives a first drive voltage corresponding to power supplied from an aerial line or a second drive voltage lower than the first drive voltage and supplies power to a motor; and a voltage determining unit which determines whether a voltage of power supplied to the inverter circuit is equal to or higher than a preset first reference value. Based on the result given by the voltage determining unit, when the voltage of power supplied to the inverter circuit is equal to or higher than the first reference value, the battery is charged with power from a charging circuit and the inverter circuit is driven at the first drive voltage, and when the voltage of power supplied to the inverter circuit does not reach the first reference value, a drive voltage for the inverter is changed to the second drive voltage to drive the inverter circuit.
