Described is system for generation of elliptic curve digital signature algorithm (ECDSA) based digital signatures. A Secret-Share protocol is initialized between a client and a set of servers to share a set of shares of a private key s among the set of servers. The set of servers initializes a protocol to generate a digital signature on a message using the set of shares of the private key s without reconstructing or revealing the private key s. The set of servers periodically initializes a Secret-Redistribute protocol on each share of the private key s to re-randomize the set of shares. A Secret-Open protocol is initialized to reveal the private key s to an intended recipient, wherein the private key s is used to compute the digital signature.

Public-key cryptography algorithms, especially elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) and elliptic curve digital signature algorithm (ECDSA) have been attracting attention from many researchers in different institutions because these algorithms provide security and high performance when being used in many areas such as electronic-healthcare, electronic-banking, electronic-commerce, electronic-vehicular, and electronic-governance. These algorithms heighten security against various attacks and at the same time improve performance to obtain efficiencies (time, memory, reduced computation complexity, and energy saving) in an environment of the constrained source and large systems. This paper presents detailed and a comprehensive survey of an update of the ECDSA algorithm in terms of performance, security, and applications.

Efficient and Secure ECDSA Algorithm and its Applications: A Survey

Abstract The ease of deployment of economic sensor networks has always been a boon to disaster management applications. However, their vulnerability to a number of security threats makes communication a challenging task. This paper proposes a new routing technique to prevent from both external threats and internal threats like hello flooding, eavesdropping and wormhole attack. In this approach one way hash chain is used to reduce the energy drainage. Level based event driven clustering also helps to save energy. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme extends network lifetime even when the cluster based wireless sensor network is under attack.

Elliptic curve ElGamal Threshold-based Key Management Scheme against Compromise of Distributed RSUs for VANETs

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) has emerged as an important supplement to the modern wireless communication systems due to its wide range of applications. The communication of sensitive data and working in hostile environmental condition needs security. The energy constraints, limited computational ability and low storage capacity of the sensor nodes have made the implementation of security more challenging. The proposed scheme adopts a level based secure hierarchical approach to maintain the energy efficiency. It incorporates light-weight security mechanisms like, nested hash based message authentication codes (HMAC), Elliptic-Curve Diffie-Hellman (ECDH) key exchange scheme and Blowfish symmetric cipher. Simulation results show that the scheme performs better than existing secure routing protocols FBSR and ATSR.

Secure Hierarchical Routing Protocol (SHRP) for Wireless Sensor Network

Security is an important issue for Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), especially for security-sensitive application. In this paper, we address secure authentication problems in WSN. First, we propose distributed authentication model for WSN, and secondly, advance the threshold ECDSA authentication scheme in this model, finally construct a new way to choose distributed CA severs of threshold authentication scheme. Our simulation results and analysis show that our scheme can reduce effectively bandwidth and computation resources while providing a robust, highly secure and highly available authentication service.
