Journal ArticleDOI
Microstructure development and mechanical properties of quenching and partitioning (Q&P) steel and an incorporation of hot-dipping galvanization during Q&P process
TL;DR: In this paper, two schemes of hot-dipping galvanization and partitioning were designed for low-carbon steel with chemical composition typical for conventional TRIP-assisted steels, and the microstructure of the steel treated by the Q&P process was characterized by means of optical microscope, SEM, TEM and XRD.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of microstructural types on toughness and microstructural optimization of ultra-heavy steel plate: EBSD analysis and microscopic fracture mechanism
TL;DR: In this article, different microstructures and their mixtures have been obtained through various heat treatment processes, and the correlations between misorientation, grain size, microscopic fracture propagation and toughness have been studied in detail using electron backscatter diffraction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Fatigue crack growth behaviors in hot-rolled low carbon steels: A comparison between ferrite–pearlite and ferrite–bainite microstructures
Mingfei Guan,Hao Yu +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the role of microstructure types in fatigue crack growth behaviors in ferrite-pearlite steel and ferrite bainite steel was investigated using in-situ scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and fatigue fractography analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Study of microstructural evolution, microstructure-mechanical properties correlation and collaborative deformation-transformation behavior of quenching and partitioning (Q&P) steel
TL;DR: In this article, a detailed characterization of the microstructural evolution of quenching and partitioning (Q&P) steel by dilatometer, X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of tin on the corrosion behavior of sea-water corrosion-resisting steel
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of tin on the corrosion resistance of tin-containing steel and tin-free steel was investigated using electrochemical measurements in seawater, and it was shown that the tin oxides with iron oxides could make the rust layer more uniform and compact.
