An image-forming device has a plurality of cylindrical image-carrying members, and an optical scanning unit. The plurality of cylindrical image-carrying members is provided in a main casing for rotating about respective rotational axes. The rotational axes are parallel to one another and juxtaposed in a single direction. The optical scanning unit is provided in the main casing and has a plurality of laser generators, a single rotatable polygon mirror, a plurality of mirrors, and a plurality of lenses. The plurality of laser generators is provided one-to-one relationship to the plurality of image-carrying members to emit respective laser beams. The single rotatable polygon mirror deflects the respective laser beams to scan the respective image-carrying members therewith. The plurality of mirrors is provided one-to-one relationship to the plurality of image-carrying members to guide the respective laser beams along respective optical paths to the respective image-carrying members. The plurality of lenses is provided one-to-one relationship to the plurality of image-carrying members and provided in the respective optical paths and between the respective mirrors and the respective image-carrying members. Distances from the respective mirrors to the respective image-carrying members being equal to one another.

Image-forming device

PURPOSE: To make it possible to assure a high-quality image and voice quality with respect to blocking and head wear at the time of tape/head contact by composing a magnetic recording carrier of a nonmagnetic carrier material and a magnetizable specific layer applied thereon. CONSTITUTION: This magnetic recording carrier is composed of the nonmagnetic carrier material and the magnetizable material which is applied thereon and intrinsically consists of a magnetic material selected from a group consisting of iron oxide (III) reformed with cobalt and hexagonal ferrite finely dispersed into an org. binder and an inorg. supplying material. Acicular ferromagnetic chromium dioxide having intensity of a coercive magnetic field of over 24kA/m and a specific surface area of 20 to 60m /g is incorporated as the inorg. supplying material at a ratio of 10 to 20% of the magnetic material into the magnetized layer. As a result, the magnet layer is highly homogeneous and smooth and the blocking does not arise at the time of a recording carrier operation. The use of the finely dispersed iron oxide (III) reformed with the cobalt is made usable and the degradation in quality or layer homogeneity does not arise any more.

Magnetic recording carrier

PURPOSE:To improve physical properties of a material such as dimensional stability or strength/rigidity, by containing a specific surface active agent in a mixed solution containing polyol, isocyanate and titanium acid potassium whiskers as a filler. CONSTITUTION:A surface active agent of a formula 1 is contained into a mixed solution, in a reaction injection molding method containing a reinforced material where the mixed solution containing polyol, isocyanate and titanium acid potassium whiskers as a filler is injected within a mold, reacted and a molded product is obtained. It becomes that the titanium acid potassium whisker does not display a sudden thickening to be followed by a mixed quantity and mixing of far larger quantity of the whisker becomes possible due to existence of the surface active agent of the formula 1. Therefore, the thickening can be controlled even if a mixed quantity of the titanium acid potassium whisker is increased up to an effective quantity as a urethane reinforced material. A facial defect such as agglomeration blobbing or a blister of a urethane injection molded product containing a titanium acid potassium whisker reinforced material is not generated, dimensional stability ascribable to strength and rigid properties, thermal expansion and a molding shrinkage factor such as the modulus of elasticity in binding and Izod impact strength are improved drastically especially and a further high-quality urethane molded product can be materialized.

Reaction injection molding containing reinforcing material

PURPOSE:To eliminate the variability of withstanding voltage between a gate and a cathode by a method wherein, after a plurality of opposite conductivity type regions are formed on one surface of a semiconductor substrate by diffusion, the regions are etched except the bottom parts which are used as gate regions and cathode regions are provided on the parts of the substrate protruding between the gate regions. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of P type regions 6 are formed in an N type Si substrate 5 with intervals by diffusion. With insulating films 7 formed on the surfaces of the substrate 5 between the regions 6, the regions 6 are removed by etching except the bottom parts which are used as gate regions 10. Then apertures 9 are formed in the films 7 on the protruding surfaces of the substrate 5 and the films 7 are covered with doped polycrystalline silicon films 12. The impurity in the silicon films 12 is diffused by a heat treatment to form N type regions 11 which are used as cathode regions on the protruding surfaces of the substrate 5. After that, the previously used silicon films 12 are again utilized as cathode electrodes 12. With this constitution, the distance between the gate and the cathode along the vertical direction can be defined so that the yield can be improved.

Manufacture of static induction semiconductor device

PURPOSE:To attain the integration of plural programs by inputting a part of an output from a microinstruction storage means to a decoder after it is modified into a right or left shift instruction code when the output is a shift instruction and inputting a part not modified to the decoder as it is. CONSTITUTION:A signal controlling an instruction modifying means is comprised of a control signal from a microinstruction storage means and a control signal from a register and an output from a microinstruction storage means is an input to a decoder 17 as it is when an output from the microinstruction storage means is other than the shift instruction by the control signal from the microinstruction storage means, the control signal from the register and the instruction modifying means. On the other hand, the output from the microinstruction storage means is the shift instruction, after a part of the output is modified into the right or left shift instruction code, the result is inputted to the decoder 17 and the part not modified of the output of the microinstruction storage means is controlled to be inputted to the decoder as it is.

Data processing system

PURPOSE:To maintain a lubricating function having excellent long-term continuous durability by incorporating a fatty acid having a specific number or above of atoms and liquid paraffin as a lubricant, and a surface active agent of sulfonic or phosphoric ester in magnetic powder in manufacturing a flexible magnetic disk. CONSTITUTION:Myristic acid, palmitic acid, etc. are used either alone or in combination as a fatty acid having >=12 carbon atoms. Liquid paraffin causes less exudation and is usable under conditions over a wide range. The content of said lubricants is preferably 0.5-3wt% of the magentic layer. A sulfuric or phosphonic ester surface active agent which is a hydrophilic group has itself hydroscopicity and is effective as an antistatic agent and with respect to wear resistance, said agent exhibits a lubricating effect under low moisture by lubicating wet the surface of the magnetic layer. The preferred content thereof is <=2%. The incorporation of the above-mentioned materials into the magnetic layer is accomplished by kneading said materials together with magnetic powder and a binder and forming the magnetic layer or mixing these materials and coating or spraying the mixture on the magnetic layer.

Flexible magnetic disk

PURPOSE:To improve the abrasion resistance of a magnetic layer by incorporating a fatty acid ester consisting of a satd. fatty acid having a specific number of carbon atoms and an aliphat. alcohol having a specific number of carbon atoms, liquid paraffin, and a fatty acid having a specific number of carbon atoms or above into the magnetic layer. CONSTITUTION:There may be mentioned n-propyl stearate, n-butyl stearate, n- amyl stearate, n-hexyl stearate or the like as the fatty acid ester having excellent lubricity and abrasion resistance consisting of a satd. fatty acid having 18 carbon atoms and aliphat. alcohol having 3-6 carbon atoms and the amt. of said fatty acid ester to be used is preferably 0.5-2wt%. There are used stearic acid, palmitic acid, myristic acid, etc. and cerotic acid, montanic acid, etc. as the fatty acid having an excellent lubricating effect having 12-18 and 26-34 carbon atoms, and the amt. of the fatty acid to be used is preferably 0.5- 1.5wt% if the carbon atoms are 2-18 and 0.5-2wt% if the number of the carbon atoms are 26-34. The number of carbon atoms of the liquid paraffin are 5-15, and the amt. to be used is preferably 0.5-1.2wt%.
