A folding seating unit for a vehicle provides a forward or rearward facing seat with a backrest which is capable of being folded flat and sideways against the side of the vehicle at a low level beneath the window level of the vehicle. The seating unit can be stowed within side trim panels without obscuring windows, or the load carrying area of the vehicle floor, and is particularly suited to multipurpose vehicles or vans. The seating unit includes: an outboard leg coupled to the vehicle side, and an inboard leg engaging with the vehicle floor; a retraction mechanism providing automatic folding of the inboard leg when the seating unit is folded to its stowed position; an extending backrest squab which extends the effective height of the backrest when the seating is in a deployed condition, but retracts when the seating is in the stowage position. A more compact stowed seat is achieved, while maintaining a desirable height of seating for neck and head support of an occupant of the seat, thereby reducing risk of injury in accidents, and increasing the range of occupant size for which the seating is suitable.

Authentication credentials from legacy applications are translated to Kerberos authentication requests. Authentication credentials from the legacy application are directed to an authentication proxy module. The authentication proxy module acts as a credential translator for the application by receiving a set of credentials such as a user name and password, then managing the process of authenticating to a Kerberos server and obtaining services from one or more Kerberized applications, including Kerberos session encryption. A credential binding module associates a user corresponding to authentication credentials from a legacy authentication protocol with one or more Kerberos credentials. Anonymous authentication credentials may be translated to authentication requests for a network directory services object, such as a computer object or service object.

Apparatus, systems and methods to provide authentication services to a legacy application

One or more user service tickets are obtained (i.e. pre-fetched) from an authentication server and stored in a ticket cache. The user service tickets facilitate a login device communicating with one or more users or group members associated with the login device. Login credentials for the users or group members may be subsequently authenticated against the user service tickets within the ticket cache thereby eliminating the need for immediate access to the authentication server or a previous login session by the users or group members. The user service tickets within the ticket cache may be refreshed as needed. In one embodiment, the user service tickets are refreshed daily and also in response to login attempts if the authentication service is readily accessible.

Disconnected credential validation using pre-fetched service tickets

An identity migration program provides interfaces for a user to manage operations for migrating locally-managed identities to centrally-managed identities. The provided interfaces include a project management interface, an identity selection interface, a migration rule editor interface, and a project scheduling interface. In certain embodiments, the identity migration program includes a communication module that provides interfaces for managing communication between the identity migration program and locally-managed and centrally-managed servers. Interfaces may also be provided to manage identity group migration and migration error resolution. A migration process management interface enables the user to halt, roll back, or resume a migration project.

Identity migration apparatus and method

An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for managing policies on a computer having a foreign operating system. Policies may specify hardware or software configuration information. Policies on a first computer with a native operating system are translated into configuration information usable on a second computer having a foreign operating system. In an embodiment, a translator manager manages the association between the policy on the first computer and the translator on the second computer. Computer management complexity and information technology management costs are reduced by centralizing computer management on the native operating system. Further reductions in management complexity are realized when the present invention is used in conjunction with network directory services.

Systems and methods for managing policies on a computer

Buses, in particular long-distance coaches usually have couriers' seats which are arranged next to the driver's seat. The courier's seat according to the invention is characterised by its ability to pivot into the front passenger's footspace (4) when the backrest (3) is folded over, the back rest (3) not protruding beyond the dashboard (5). An angular lever which is coupled to the floor (6) of the front passenger's area under the seat is provided to permit the seat (1) to pivot. In each case one worm gear (2) is arranged as a drive for pivoting the angular lever (7) and the seat (1).
