Psoriasis and the metabolic syndrome
Arnon D. Cohen,Harel Gilutz,Yaakov Henkin,Doron Zahger,Jonathan Shapiro,Dan Y. Bonneh,Daniel A. Vardy +6 more
TL;DR: Multivariate models adjusting for age and gender demonstrated that psoriasis was associated with an increased risk for ischaemic heart disease and dyslipidaemia and a possible association between Psoriasis and the metabolic syndrome.
Journal ArticleDOI
Association of lipid levels during gestation with preeclampsia and gestational diabetes mellitus: a population-based study
Arnon Wiznitzer,Amit Mayer,Victor Novack,Victor Novack,Eyal Sheiner,Harel Gilutz,Atul Malhotra,Lena Novack,Lena Novack +8 more
TL;DR: In multivariate analysis higher TGs levels, but not low high-density lipoprotein, were associated with the primary endpoint, and normal levels of TGs are associated with pregnancy complications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Meta-analysis of clinical correlates of acute mortality in takotsubo cardiomyopathy.
Kuljit Singh,Kristin V Carson,Ranjit Shah,Gagandeep Sawhney,Balwinder Singh,Ajay K. Parsaik,Harel Gilutz,Zafar A Usmani,John D. Horowitz +8 more
TL;DR: Takotsubo cardiomyopathy is not as benign as once thought and greater efforts need to be directed to the diagnosis, treatment, and ultimately prevention of "secondary" TTC.
Journal ArticleDOI
Incidence, risk factors, management and outcomes of coronary artery perforation during percutaneous coronary intervention.
Avi Shimony,Doron Zahger,Michael Van Straten,Aryeh Shalev,Harel Gilutz,Reuben Ilia,Carlos Cafri +6 more
TL;DR: Multivariate analysis identified the treatment of chronic total occlusion as the strongest independent predictor of CP; other independent variables included calcium in the coronary artery that was the site of intervention and non-ST elevation myocardial infarction.
Journal ArticleDOI
The effect of statin therapy on infection-related mortality in patients with atherosclerotic diseases
TL;DR: Therapy with statins may be associated with a reduced risk of infection-related mortality, and this protective effect is independent of all known comorbidities and dissipates when the medication is discontinued.
