The vehicle also includes a processor which receives output from the second amplifier of each transceiver and generates a control signal for controlling one or more vehicular components based on the output from the second amplifier(s). The components can be part of a collision avoidance system, blind spot monitoring system and the like.

A low-phase noise oscillator with a microstrip resonator for generating a target signal with a predetermined frequency is provided. The resonator includes a first microstrip line and a second microstrip line. The first microstrip line is parallel with the second microstrip line without having any contact. A length of the first microstrip line equals a length of the second microstrip line, and the length equals a quarter wavelength of the target signal. When a plurality of oscillating signals is transmitted to the first microstrip line, one of the oscillating signals having the predetermined frequency will be output from the resonator by an electromagnetic coupling generated between the first microstrip line and the second microstrip line.

A high-frequency oscillation apparatus wherein an oscillation signal output from a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) is transferred through a transfer line to a resonator and the resonator is excited. The resonator is coupled with a second transfer line and an RF signal having a level corresponding to the frequency of the oscillation signal is transferred through the second transfer line. When the resonant frequency of the resonator is set to a frequency higher than the oscillation-frequency modulation range of the VCO, the oscillation frequency and the RF-signal level have one-to-one correspondence. A detector detects the RF signal and outputs to a control section. The control section compensates a control voltage signal applied to the VCO according to the detected-signal level, and outputs the control voltage signal to the VCO to compensate the oscillation signal of the VCO.

At least one of a rise time and a fall time of a dielectric resonator oscillator are reduced. The dielectric resonator oscillator includes a dielectric resonator, a drive circuit for applying a resonance voltage to the dielectric resonator, a switch for applying a voltage required for generating the resonance voltage to the drive circuit, a switch for applying a ground voltage for stopping generation of the resonance voltage to the drive circuit, and a capacitor connected to a power terminal side that supplies a voltage, as seen from the switch, for removing noise generated by the drive circuit. If these switches are made conductive exclusively, oscillation can be stopped immediately by turning on the switch. Since the capacitor is in a charge storage state at all times, regardless of ON/OFF of the switch, the oscillation operation can be started immediately when the switch is turned ON.

A voltage controlled oscillator, a voltage controlled oscillator device, and a radar device provided therewith which can detect when the oscillation frequency becomes uncontrollable. According to one embodiment, a Gunn or other oscillation device is connected to a main line and a varactor diode which is a variable reactance element is connected between the main line and a sub line to constitute a voltage controlled oscillator.
