Eric Ries was born in September 1978. He graduated from Yale University and moved to silicon Valley in the beginning of the millennium. He pioneered the philosophy of Lean Startup, based on his experience with multiple startups, primary being IMVU which he co-founded along with Will Harvey in 2004. Eric Ries originated his Lean Startup philosophy after getting inspired from the Japanese Philosophy of Lean Manufacturing.

in attracting suitably qualified and skilled employees are recommended. One such strategy is employer branding. Employer branding in the context of recruitment is the package of psychological, economic, and functional benefits
that potential employees associate with employment with a particular company. Knowledge of these perceptions can help organisations to create an attractive and competitive employer brand. Utilising information economics and signalling theory, we examine the nature and consequences of employer branding. Depth interviews reveal that job seekers evaluate: the attractiveness of employers based on any previous direct work experiences with the employer or in the sector; the clarity, credibility, and consistency of the potential employers’ brand signals; perceptions of the employers’ brand investments; and perceptions of the employers’ product or service brand portfolio.

Education quality assurance is the necessity for today’s competitive environment in university education. Quality assurance standards and strategies are being used in most of universities and higher education institutions. But the perception of quality standards is being usually seen from the perspective of a university management. This study aims to analyze and present perceptions of students towards a measurement of education quality standards and to identify significant groups of students according to their preferences in education quality. Students’ questionnaires and focus groups collected the data. Two dimensional and multi-dimensional statistical methods were used to evaluate the results. The outputs show five groups of students based on their perception of the education quality. Examination of students’ interest in specific areas, subjects and courses leads to identification of factors which affect their preferences in education. The paper found five significant groups of perceived quality by students. These are Quality receptionists, Business oriented, Expert innovators, Distance learners and Arrangement oriented. Limit of the study is a narrow focus on one private university. This study may encourage other papers to develop and test further the impact of education quality on students’ preferences for measurable improvements. The paper is an extension of the conference paper presented on ERIE conference 2017.

With the increasing importance of higher education, there is also growing public concern about its productivity. Therefore, the aim of the study is to evaluate the key internal quality management processes by student evaluation and to reveal the key factors of an effective internal quality process management. The indicators used are based on student satisfaction with the education process. The results are based on a quantitative survey using questionnaire data collection within a sample of students, and qualitative research within target groups. Descriptive statistics and two dimensional statistical methods were used to evaluate the quantitative results. The results show student evaluation of five key areas of the internal quality process management evaluation: leadership and strategic planning, student and stakeholder focus, measurement of student learning outcomes, human resource planning and educational process management. A limitation of the study is its narrow focus on a case study of a single private university.

Internal Quality Process Management Evaluation in Higher Education by Students

The necessity of identification of key talents in company is known in all sectors of economy. Therefore the aim of the paper is based on competency analysis to define key factors leading to talent identification and internalization through competency modelling. Paper characterizes areas of necessary competencies on specific job positions in companies. Their targeting on employee and teams in talent management is revealed. The objective is based on analysis of primary survey conducted on 101 agriculture companies. The data were obtained through manager surveys for which a single manager represented the given company. One-dimensional and multi-dimensional statistics were used to evaluate the data. Based on statistical analyses of required competencies five factors characterizing area of key employee and team development were identified. Those factors are inclusive approach, management support, strategic development, leadership development and integrity. The resultant factors create competency models usable in specified job positions. Limits of the paper is narrow focus on primary sector companies. The results may help surveyed companies in primary sector to set required and necessary competencies for specific areas to identify and develop employees, talents and teams.

Continuous formation of new businesses, start-ups, which could establish themselves on the market and be successful, should be supported in all economic areas, and the area of agriculture is no exception. Thus the main aim of this paper is to formulate a recommendation for educational institutions which prepare future generations, among others, to establish start-ups in agriculture that reflect fundamental success factors. The data were acquired with the aid of structured interviews (n = 6), which were carried out in electronic form. The respondents agreed that they considered the greatest obstacle, and at the same time challenge, to be the entry into the unknown, and that fear of failure in the context of an enterprise in the area of agriculture, food and nutrition has arrived only in the last few years, when loans, employees and obligations are on the rise.
