In this paper, we have investigated the Hall and ion slip effects on the unsteady magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) free convective rotating flow over an exponentially accelerated inclined plate entrenched in a saturated porous medium with the effect of angle of inclination, variable temperature and concentration. The flow induced by the presence of heat source/sink and destructive reaction. The Laplace transform technique has been used to solve the governing equations. The effects of the non-dimensional parameters on the governing flow velocity, temperature and concentration are examined with graphical profiles. Also for engineering interest the shear stress, Nusselt number and Sherwood number are obtained analytically and discussed computationally with reference to foremost flow parameters. It is reported that the presence of magnetic field prevents the flow reversal. Angle of inclination sustains a retarding effect on velocity distribution. The present study has an immediate application in understanding the drag experienced at the heated and inclined surfaces in a seepage flow.

Thermal radiation impact on MHD heat transfer natural convective nano fluid flow over an impulsively started vertical plate

The major focus of the current study was the modeling of 3D Darcy–Forchheimer flow of water–CNTs nanofluid. Impacts of non-uniform heat source/sink and Ohmic heating on 3D magneto hydrodynamic flow of water–CNTs (SWCNT and MWCNT) nanofluid were assessed. The numerical analysis method ‘Runge–Kutta–Fehlberg’ was applied for existing PDEs. It was noted that the thermal boundary layer was extended for increasing Eckert numbers along $$ x\;{\text{and}}\;y $$
 direction, when the fluid showed movement away from the surface. Moreover, the gap in thermal boundary layer for H2O-SWCNT was more in comparison with H2O–MWCNT nanofluid. The numerical data of this study were validated with earlier reported outcomes and were observed to have good concord.

Similarity solution analysis of dynamic and thermal boundary layers: further formulation along a vertical flat plate

An investigation has been done on the hybrid nanofluid slip flow in the existence of heat generation over an exponentially stretching/shrinking permeable sheet. Hybridization of alumina and copper with water as the base fluid is considered. The mathematical model is simplified through the similarity transformation. A numerical solver named bvp4c in Matlab software is utilized to facilitate the problem-solving process and dual solutions are attained. The influences of several pertinent parameters on the main physical quantities of interest and the profiles are scrutinized and presented in the form of graphs. Through the stability analysis, only the first solution is considered as the physical solution. As such, the findings conclude that the upsurges of volume fraction on the copper nanoparticle could enhance the skin friction coefficient and the local Nusselt number.

Hybrid Nanofluid Slip Flow over an Exponentially Stretching/Shrinking Permeable Sheet with Heat Generation

The goal of the recent article is to identify the consequences of heat generation/absorption and suction/injection on MHD flow of Ag-water nanofluid past a stretching flat plat in a porous medium with Ohmic-viscous dissipation. The set of obtained ODEs have been solved along with auxiliary boundary conditions using a numerical approach called Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg scheme through shooting technique. The influence of relevant parameters on dimensionless flow and thermal field profiles are shown by graphs and described in detail. Also the non-dimensional skin factor and heat transfer rate are stated as in tabular form. The results affirmed that as accelerated in the values of porosity parameter the coefficient of heat transfer reduces while it increases as raise in the suction/injection parameter. The outcomes also show that momentum boundary layer thickness declines on increasing the values of volume fraction of silver solid particles, but reverse trend is observed for thermal boundary layer.
