Role of gut microbiota and Toll-like receptors in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease
Kouichi Miura,Hirohide Ohnishi +1 more
TL;DR: Gut microbiota and TLRs are targets for NAFLD treatment because they are a source of Toll-like receptor (TLR) ligands, and their compositional change can also increase the amount of TLR ligands delivered to the liver.
Journal ArticleDOI

Journal ArticleDOI
Advanced feasibility of endoscopic submucosal dissection for the treatment of gastric tube cancer after esophagectomy.
Shin Tawaraya,Mario Jin,Tamotsu Matsuhashi,Yusato Suzuki,Masayuki Sawaguchi,Noboru Watanabe,Kengo Onochi,Shigeto Koizumi,Natsumi Hatakeyama,Reina Ohba,Hirosato Mashima,Hirohide Ohnishi +11 more
TL;DR: Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) is currently used as a therapeutic option for treating GTC, however, ESD also carries limitations with respect to the anatomical features of gastric tubes, particularly the suture line and staples with the possibility of fibrosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mesenteric lymph node abscess due to Yersinia enterocolitica: case report and review of the literature.

TL;DR: The histological findings suggested that an ulcerative lesion of the terminal ileum was the entry port of Y. enterocolitica, which infected the mesenteric lymph nodes and spread along the ileocecal lymphatic vessels, resulting in the formation of an abscess.
Journal ArticleDOI
Successful treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma with lung metastasis using hepatic and bronchial artery infusion chemotherapy.
Tatsuki Yoshida,Kentaro Kamada,Kouichi Miura,Takashi Goto,Shigetoshi Ohshima,Wataru Sato,Tomomi Shibuya,Takahiro Dohmen,Ryo Kanata,Toshitaka Sakai,Mitsuru Chiba,Junichi Fujiwara,Yuko Sugimoto,Mitsuaki Ishioka,Itsuki Hasegawa,Kenichi Takahashi,Shinichiro Minami,Akashi Fujita,Manabu Hashimoto,Hirohide Ohnishi +19 more
TL;DR: A case of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with lung metastasis that was successfully treated with transcatheter arterial infusion chemotherapy via the hepatic and bronchial arteries and resulted in the disappearance of the lung metastases and a partial response to tumor thrombosis is reported.
