Journal ArticleDOI
New two-dimensional position sensitive silicon detector with good position linearity and resolution
T. Yanagimachi,Tadayoshi Doke,Nobuyuki Hasebe,T. Imai,T. Kashiwagi,Jun Kikuchi,T. Kohno,Weiping Liu,Kazuoki Munakata,T. Motobayashi,H. Murakami,K. Nagata,A. Nakamoto,Hiroichi Yamaguchi +13 more
TL;DR: In this article, a two-dimensional position sensitive silicon detector (PSSD) with a good linear response, consisting of a square ion-implanted resistive anode with a boundary of an additional resistive-strip electrode, was newly developed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification of projectile fragments using position sensitive silicon detectors
Weiping Liu,Toshiyuki Kubo,H. Kumagai,T. Nakagawa,Toshio Suzuki,M. Yanokura,Isao Tanihata,T. Ito,T. Kashiwagi,Jun Kikuchi,Hiroichi Yamaguchi,Tadayoshi Doke,H. Murakami,T. Yanagimachi,Nobuyuki Hasebe +14 more
TL;DR: In this article, a particle identification technique was developed combining the use of a position-sensitive silicon detector with a simple magnetic system, and measurements of time of flight, energy loss, total energy, and magnetic rigidity provided the determination of the atomic number, the charge state, and the mass of produced fragments.
