Conventionally, a generator rotor is supported on a main shaft and this requires the main shaft to be designed to be long, increasing its weight and adversely affecting easiness of assembly. A wind turbine apparatus has a structure where heavy components such as a wind wheel, generator, etc. are held on a tower having a specified height; therefore, it is a natural demand to reduce the weight of the apparatus as much as possible. A hub (29) is supported at one end of a main shaft (10), and a generator rotor (12) is supported at the other end. A main shaft housing (40) and a generator housing (20) are integrated. The generator rotor (12) fixed to the rear of the main shaft (10) has a shape open rearward. The main shaft (10) and the generator rotor (12) are removably fixed from the rearward open section. At least a rotary joint section (33) of a pitch control shaft (37) is provided at a rear opening of the generator housing (20).

SOLUTION: This speed increaser 40 is arranged between a hub shaft 10 of a windmill 11 and a rotor shaft 31 of the synchronous generator 30. A rotor 33 of the synchronous generator 30 is rotated at an increasing speed.

A blade 4 is mounted on the rotor head 5 through a blade bearing 6, and a sub-gear 14a that is a bevel gear is mounted on the base end side of the blade 4. The rotating shaft of the sub-gear 14a is arranged on the central axis of the blade 4, and the blade 4 is rotatable to the rotor head 5 by the effect of the blade bearing 6.
