Provided is an organic electroluminescence device having high luminous efficiency, high heat resistance and an extremely long lifetime. The organic electroluminescence device of the present invention includes an organic thin film layer composed of one or more layers containing at least a light emitting layer is interposed between a cathode and an anode. The light emitting layer includes a compound containing a condensed ring and a luminescent metal complex capable of emitting light having a red-based color. It is preferable that the compound containing a condensed ring includes a host material, while the luminescent metal complex capable of emitting light having a red-based color includes a phosphorescent dopant.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element of excellent luminous efficiency with a long service life, and a display device of low power consumption with a long service life using the organic electroluminescent element. SOLUTION: This organic electroluminescent element with an organic layer clamped between two electrodes contains a compound expressed by a general formula (1), in at least one layer of the organic layer. In the formula, B represents a boron atom, C represents a carbon atom, A11 , A12 and A13 represent a carbon atom or a nitrogen atom, Z11 , Z12 and Z13 represent an atomic group required to complete an aromatic ring, R11 , R12 and R13 independently represent an alkyl group, an alkyloxy group, an aryloxy group or an halogen atom, R14 , R15 and R16 independently represent a hydrogen atom or a monovalent substituent, and l, m, n independently represent 0-7.

Organic electroluminescent element and display device

An electroluminescence display device has a plurality of electroluminescence elements and a driver circuit formed over a substrate. At least a part of the driver circuit is disposed in a display portion of a substrate in order that the size of the display device can be reduced.

EL display device and electronic device

A light-emitting device includes a drive transistor for controlling the quantity of current supplied to a light-emitting element, a capacitor element electrically connected to a gate electrode of the drive transistor, and an electrical continuity portion for electrically connecting the drive transistor and the light-emitting element, these elements being disposed on a substrate. The electrical continuity portion is disposed on the side opposite to the capacitor element with the drive transistor disposed therebetween.

Light-emitting device and electronic apparatus

An EL display device capable of reducing an average film resistance of an anode in an EL device as well as displaying an image with high definition, and electrical equipment including such an EL display device are provided. A light-shielding metal film 109 is provided on an anode 108 so as to conceal gaps between the pixels. Thus, an average film resistance of the anode 108 in the EL device is reduced. Furthermore, light leakage from the gaps between the pixels can be prevented, resulting in an image display with high definition.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element requiring few manufacturing processes capable of easily achieving a large area and improved in electroluminescent luminance by using a polymer compound soluble in various solvents and capable of easily forming a thin film with no pin hole. SOLUTION: This electroluminescence element is provided with a thin film containing a polymer compound obtained by polymerizing a compound expressed by a formula between opposite electrodes of which at least one electrode is crystal or semi-crystal. In addition, electron ray irradiation is applied to this thin film layer. In the formula, L denotes a dihybrid link group, R denote a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an allyl group, a cyclic ester group, a non-cyclic ester group, a cyclic ether group, and an non-cyclic ether group. A denotes a complex cycle. N is 1 or 2, and R may be identical or different when n is 2.
