A vehicle is equipped with a motor that receives a supply of electric power, which is output from a battery and is boosted up by a DC/DC converter circuit, via an inverter circuit and outputs a torque to a drive shaft. In response to an estimated variation in road surface condition based on a decrease in angular acceleration of the drive shaft to be less than a threshold value ref during a slip, the control procedure of the invention adds a predetermined value to a torque upper limit Tmax, which is set at the time of the occurrence of the slip, and thereby updates the torque upper limit Tmax to start cancellation of torque restriction. The control procedure then updates the torque upper limit Tmax by a slope of a small time change to restrain the degree of cancellation of the torque restriction. After elapse of a preset time period specified as a waiting time to stabilize the voltage-increasing operation of the DC/DC converter circuit, the control procedure updates the torque upper limit Tmax by a slope of a greater time change to promptly cancel out the torque restriction.

CONSTITUTION:A speed detector 10 detects tthe rotational speed of a drive motor by an output signal from a pulse generator 2. Acceleration arithmetic sections 11, 12 each obtain acceleration at the points of time slightly later than the case of the detection of rotational speed. An integrator 13 integrate a deviation between output signals from the acceleration arithmetic sections 11, 12. A re-adhesion control section 14 decides slip or skid when an output from the integrat or 13 exceeds some fixed value, and throttle an output from a slip-frequency arithmetic section 15 by the output from the integrator 13.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform cost reduction and labor saving of maintenance, and to prevent overcharge of a smoothing capacitor as well, by providing a DC circuit-breaker between a DC power supplying point and a DC reactor, and providing a semiconductor circuit-breaker between DC reactor and the positive terminal of the smoothing capacitor. SOLUTION: Between a DC power source 1 and an inverter 5 which receives DC power from the DC power source 1 and performs DC-AC conversion, an electric circuit composed of a DC circuit-breaker 2 which interrupts a current mechanically, a DC reactor 3, a semiconductor circuit-breaker 10, and a smoothing capacitor 4 connected in the order is interposed. Here, the semiconductor circuit-breaker 10 is used for suppressing an inrush current on the occasion of charging the smoothing capacitor 4 by the DC power source 1, and it interrupts a direct current flowing in the DC reactor 3. Consequently, it becomes possible to perform cost reduction and labor saving of maintenance. Besides, it becomes possible to prevent overcharge of the smoothing capacitor caused by the energy of the DC reactor generated by a transient phenomenon.
