Image steganography is an emerging field of research for secure data hiding and transmission over networks. The proposed system provides the best approach for Least Significant Bit (LSB) based steganography using Genetic Algorithm (GA) along with Visual Cryptography (VC). Original message is converted into cipher text by using secret key and then hidden into the LSB of original image. Genetic Algorithm and Visual Cryptography has been used for enhancing the security. Genetic Algorithm is used to modify the pixel location of stego image and the detection of this message is complex. Visual Cryptography is used to encrypt the visual information. It is achieved by breaking the image into two shares based on a threshold. The performance of the proposed system is experimented by performing steganalysis and conducting benchmarking test for analysing the parameters like Mean Squared Error (MSE) and Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR). The main aim of this paper is to design the enhanced secure algorithm which uses both steganography using Genetic Algorithm and Visual Cryptography to ensure improved security and reliability.

An enhanced security algorithm for wireless application using RSA and genetic approach

La qualite des systemes d'informations distribues depend de la pertinence du contenu mis a disposition, de la reactivite du service ainsi que de la coherence des informations presentees. Nos travaux visent a ameliorer ces trois criteres de performance et passent par la prise en compte des caracteristiques de l'utilisateur, des ressources disponibles ou plus generalement du contexte d'execution. Par consequent, cette these comporte trois volets. Le premier volet se place dans le cadre de l'adaptation de systemes d’information deployes dans des contextes dynamiques et stochastiques. Nous presentons une approche ou des agents d’adaptation appliquent des politiques de decision sequentielle dans l'incertain. Nous modelisons ces agents par des Processus Decisionnels de Markov (PDM) selon que le contexte soit observable ou seulement partiellement observable (PDM Partiellement Observables). Dans le cas d’un service mobile de consultation de films, nous montrons en particulier qu’une politique d'adaptation de ce service a des ressources limitees peut etre nuancee selon l'interet de l'utilisateur, estime grâce a l’evaluation des signaux de retour implicite. Dans le deuxieme volet, nous nous interessons a l'optimisation de la reactivite d'un systeme qui propose des contenus hypermedia. Nous nous appuyons sur des techniques de prechargement pour reduire les latences. Comme precedemment, un PDM modelise les habitudes des utilisateurs et les ressources disponibles. La force de ce modele reside dans sa capacite a fournir des politiques optimales de prechargement. Les premieres politiques que nous obtenons sont simples. Nous enrichissons alors le modele pour deriver des politiques de prechargement plus complexes et plus agressives et montrons leurs performances par simulation. Afin de personnaliser nos strategies optimales nous proposons finalement un modele PDMPO dont les politiques s'adaptent aux profils des utilisateurs. Le troisieme volet se place dans le contexte des applications multimedia interactives distribuees et concerne le controle de la coherence des flux multimedia repartis. Dans un tel contexte, plusieurs mecanismes de synchronisation sont necessaires et plusieurs ordres logiques (fifo, causal, total) s'averent utiles. Nous proposons une boite a outils capable de gerer plusieurs protocoles d’ordre partiel et d'assurer une delivrance correcte de chaque message, en respectant tous les ordres qui lui ont ete imposes. Nous decrivons ensuite l’integration des tolerances humaines vis-a-vis des courtes incoherences causales dans notre boite a outils. Nos simulations montrent que de meilleures performances sont obtenues par cette methode comparativement a d’autres approches, comme la causalite classique ou la Δ-causalite.

INTRODUCTION Steganography is the art, Science, or practice in which messages, images, or files are hidden inside other messages, images or files. When it comes to the data transformation algorithms Steganography and Visual Cryptography take advantages of different methodology in order to protect their respective payload. In steganography, only the sender and receiver aware of the hidden data and typically if the loaded file thing that comes to their mind is the question of what is the encrypted and how they can decrypt the hidden message . Steganography is concern with sending a secret message while hiding its existence. The word steganography is derived from the Greek words Steganos, meaning "Covered", and Graphein meaning "To Write". Cryptography is not concerned with hiding the existing of message, but rather its meaning by a process called Encryption. The word Cryptography derived from the Greek word Kryptos, meaning "Hidden". Seganography embed the secret message in a harmless looking cover, such as digital image file. The need for steganography is obvious but what is less obvious is the need for more research in the field. Simple techniques are easily detectable and there is a whole field of defeating steganographic technique called steganalysis, advances in steganalysis which makes it constantly evolving field. Since most steganography system use digital image as cover, the whole field has borrowed methods and ideas from the closely related field of watermarking and finger printing which also manipulate digital audio and video, for the purpose of copyright. Even though, in principle, many aspect of image can be manipulated, in reality most stego system aim for the preservation of visual integrity of the image. Early Stego system goals were to make changes not detectable by the human eyes. This feature is not enough because statistical method can detect the changes in image even if it is not visible. Image compression also plays a role in steganography because it was found at on many occasion the result depend on the compression scheme used. Steganography struggle to find more efficient method to embed a secret message in cover object, only to be defeated by techniques derived by steganalysts.

Using Concept of Steganography and Visual Cryptography for Secured Data hiding

Summary form only given. For a period of time, it was popular to use gray-level and black-and-white authentication logos for digital watermarking. With the changes of times, there are more and more digital watermarking techniques using colored logos for the index of its authentication. However, the algorithm must be more complicated for using colored logos to develop digital watermarking. It depends on a lot of complicated mathematical operations to embed the colored digital watermark. In this paper, an application of using visual cryptography technology on the making of colored digital watermarks is proposed. The proposed scheme is promoted by the great advantage of visual cryptography as it is without complicated mathematical operations. Using the human visual system, the secret can be distinguished. Our approaches not only keep the advantage of visual cryptography, but also will not destroy the protected image while making the colored digital watermark.
