Isolation and cytotoxicity of rhinacanthin-A and -B, two; naphthoquinones, from Rhinacanthus nasutus

TL;DR: Rhinacanthin-A and -B, two new naphthoquinones, and the known lupeol, β-sitosterol, stigmasterol, as well as the glucosides of β-Sitosterol and stig masterol were isolated from the roots of Rhinacanthus nasutus.
Journal ArticleDOI

Naphthoquinone Esters from the Root of Rhinacanthus nasutus

TL;DR: Reinvestigation of the root of Rhinacanthus nasutus afforded, in addition to rhinacanthin-A to -D reported previously, two new dimethyldihydropyranonaphthoquinone esters and eight new 2-hydroxy-1,4-naphthosine esters were isolated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Annoquinone-A, an antimicrobial and cytotoxic principle from Annona montana

TL;DR: A new naturally occurring phenanthrene-1,4-quinone, annoquinone-A, along with parietin (physcion) and β-sitostenone were isolated from the stem bark of Annona montana and demonstrated potent antimicrobial activity against Bacillus subtilis and Micrococcus luteus and cytotoxicity in the tissue culture assay.
Journal ArticleDOI

Naphthoquinone Esters from the Root of Rhinacanthus nasutus

TL;DR: In this paper, the root root of rhinacanthus nasutus has been investigated and two new dimethyldihydropyranonaphthoquinone esters (5, 6) and eight new 2-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoequinone (7-14) were isolated.
