We explore decay behaviors of the nonlocal advantage of quantum coherence (NAQC) for two qubits traversing the phase flap, bit flip, bit-phase flip, and depolarizing channels. For the input Bell and Bell-diagonal states, we showed analytically that the NAQC of the output states can always be noticeably enhanced due to the correlations between consecutive uses of these quantum channels, and the degree of minimum correlation needed for achieving the NAQC increases with an increase in the decoherence factor. We also explored a colored dephasing channel which enables one to compare the cooperation mechanism of two different origins of memory effects in enhancing the NAQC.

Abstract The effects of classical correlations and associated decoherence on the fidelity dynamics of two qubits initially prepared in maximally entangled (ME) and coherent states are examined. In both the Markovian and non-Markovian regimes, the dynamics of fidelity in a correlated dephasing channel is probed. We show that fidelity decreases over time but does not disappear completely, implying that the output state does not become quite dissimilar from the input state under the effects of dephasing correlated channel. The ME state, in comparison, is more tolerant of the dephasing effects of the correlated channel than that of the maximally coherent state. Fidelity of the quantum states is significantly influenced by the degree of classical correlations between successive actions of the channel on the two qubits. As the amount of classical correlations in the implementation of the channel increases, the fidelity of the quantum states can be noticeably enhanced. 

Fidelity of quantum states in a correlated dephasing channel

Thermal non-classical correlations quantified by concurrence entanglement, local quantum uncertainty, and quantum coherence in a four-qubit square chain are exactly examined. The influences of the Hamiltonian parameters on the mentioned pairwise quantum criteria and fidelity of teleportation are studied, and the most interesting findings are discussed in detail. It is found that the tuning anisotropy results in enhancing the thermal quantum correlations and coherence as well as average fidelity until achieving maximum values. We persuasively deduce that quantum coherence is a more efficient criterion than that of concurrence and local quantum uncertainty to detect the quantumness of a thermal state.

Quantum Fisher information (QFI) has potential applications in quantum metrology tasks. We investigate QFI when the consecutive actions of a quantum channel on the sequence of qubits have partial classical correlations. Our results showed that while the decoherence effect is detrimental to QFI, effects of such classical correlations on QFI are channel-dependent. For the Bell-type probe states, the classical correlations on consecutive actions of the depolarizing and phase flip channels can be harnessed to improve QFI, while the classical correlations in the bit flip and bit-phase flip channels induce a slight decrease of QFI. For a more general parameterization form of the probe states, the advantage of using initial correlated system on improving QFI can also be remained in a wide regime of the correlated quantum channels.
