Influence of Bi2O3 concentration on barium-telluro-borate glasses: Physical, structural and radiation-shielding properties
TL;DR: In this article, a series of reinforced bariumtelluroborate (TBX) glasses with the nominal composition 20TeO2+(50-x)B2O3++29.5Er 2O3 (where x=0,5,10,15 and 20 in wt%) were manufactured using traditional melt-quenching method.
Journal ArticleDOI
Amorphous alloys with high Fe content for radiation shielding applications
B. Alshahrani,I.O. Olarinoye,C. Mutuwong,Chahkrit Sriwunkum,H. A. Yakout,Huseyin Ozan Tekin,M.S. Al-Buriahi +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the radiation shielding properties of newly developed high Fe content amorphous alloys were reported and Monte Carlo simulation method was successfully used to study the problem of radiation propagation through theses alloys under suitable boundary conditions of vacuum.
Journal ArticleDOI
