Core/Shell Nanoparticles: Classes, Properties, Synthesis Mechanisms, Characterization, and Applications

The Self-Organizing Map (SOM) algorithm has attracted a great deal of interest among researches and practitioners in a wide variety of fields. The SOM has been analyzed extensively, a number of variants have been developed and, perhaps most notably, it has been applied extensively within fields ranging from engineering sciences to medicine, biology, and economics. We have collected a comprehensive list of 5384 scientific papers that use the algorithms, have benefited from them, or contain analyses of them. The list is intended to serve as a source for literature surveys. The present addendum contains 2092 new articles, mainly from the years 1998-2002. We have provided a keyword index to help finding articles of interest, and additionally a modern automatically constructed variant of a thematic index: a WEBSOM interface to the whole article collection of years 1981-2000. Core-shell quantum dots: Properties and applications

A multi-tenant media communication platform system and methods. The platform system includes media communication micro-services and micro-service configuration for a plurality of entities configured for use of the platform system. Enrolling an entity in the platform system includes setting entity configuration for use of the platform system by the entity. A micro-service request is processed according to the entity configuration. The micro-service request is a request for use of at least one micro-service of the platform system on behalf of the entity. Use of each micro-service is accounted for on behalf of the entity. Billing information for the entity is generated based on the accounting for the use of each micro-service on behalf of the entity. Entity configuration includes micro-service configuration, and micro-service configuration specifies at least one of: an endpoint mapping to at least one application logic URI, an event callback URI, and an event application logic URI.

System and method for providing a micro-services communication platform

In one embodiment, the method of processing telephony sessions includes: communicating with an application server using an application layer protocol; processing telephony instructions with a call router; and creating call router resources accessible through a call router Application Programming Interface (API). In another embodiment, the system for processing telephony sessions includes: a call router, a URI for an application server, a telephony instruction executed by the call router, and a call router API resource.

System and method for processing telephony sessions

A radiation inspection system and a method using the same. The system includes a steering radiation electronic tube for generating radiation, and an image intensifier for converting a plurality of projection images formed by projecting the radiation from the steering radiation electronic tube onto an object to be inspected into visual images. The system also includes a visual image part on which the visual images are projected, an electronic shutter having a visual image transmission part for transmitting the visual images from the visual image part of the image intensifier in sequence, and a camera for photographing the visual images from the visual image transmission part of the electronic shutter in sequence. With this configuration, the electronic shutter transmits visual images sequentially.

Radiation inspection system and method using the same

The ball grid array (BGA) chip is widely used in high density printed circuit board (PCB). However, inspection of defects in the solder joints is difficult by visual or a normal x-ray imaging method, because unlike conventional packages, solder joints of the BGA are located underneath its own package and ball type leads. Therefore, x-ray digital tomosynthesis (DT), which form a cross-sectional image of 3D objects, is needed to image and inspect the solder joints of BGA. In this paper, we propose a series of algorithms for inspecting the solder joints of BGA by using x-ray cross-sectional images that are acquired from the developed DT system. BGA solder joints are examined to check the alignment between the chip and pad on a PCB, bridge, adequate solder volume. The volume of the solder joint is represented by a gray level in the x-ray images: thus solder joints can be examined by use of the gray-level profiles of each joint. To inspect and classify various defects, pattern classification method using a learning vector quantization neural network and a look up table is proposed. The clusters into which a gray-level profile is classified are generated by the learning process of the network by using a number of sampled gray-level profiles. A series of these developed algorithms for inspecting and classifying defects were tested on a number of BGA solder joints. The experimental results show that the proposed method yields satisfactory solutions for inspection based on x-ray cross-sectional images.© (1999) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
