Theoretical analysis of metallic nanoparticles on blood flow through stenosed artery with permeable walls

The objective of present paper is to examine the peristaltic flow of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) Jeffrey fluid saturating porous space in a channel through rotating frame. Unlike the previous attempts, the flow formulation is based upon modified Darcy's law porous medium effect in Jeffrey fluid situation. In addition the impacts due to Soret and Dufour effects in the radiative peristaltic flow are accounted. Rosseland’s approximation has been utilized for the thermal radiative heat flux. Lubrication approach is implemented for the simplification. Resulting problems are solved for the stream function, temperature and concentration. Graphical results are prepared and analyzed for different parameters of interest entering into the problems.

Soret and Dufour Effects on MHD Peristaltic Flow of Jeffrey Fluid in a Rotating System with Porous Medium.

This article looks at the peristaltic flow of nanofluid in a channel with compliant walls. Brownian motion and thermophoresis effects are taken into consideration. Mathematical model is formulated by using long wavelength and low Reynolds number assumptions. The analytic expressions of temperature and nanoparticles concentration are developed by homotopy analysis method (HAM). The solutions are validated through the numerical solutions obtained by employing the built in routine for solving nonlinear boundary value problem via shooting method through software mathematica. Special emphasis is given to the role of key parameters including the Brownian motion parameter (Nb), thermophoresis parameter (Nt), Prandtl number (Pr), Eckert number (Ec) on temperature, and nanoparticles concentration. It is observed that both temperature and nanoparticles volume fraction increase when the Brownian motion and thermophoresis effects intensify. Moreover, the heat transfer coefficient is increasing function of Nb and Nt.

In this paper, we studied the effects of heat transfer and magnetic field with peristaltic flow of a viscous incompressible Newtonian fluid through a porous medium in a vertical tube under the assumptions of long wavelength and low Reynolds number. The closed form solutions of velocity field and temperature are obtained. The influence of various pertinent parameters on the flow characteristics, the temperature and the heat transfer coefficient are discussed through graphs.
