The invention relates to a process for producing a cold-rolled steel sheet or strip which is easily shaped, and especially stretch formed, for making pressings with a high buckling resistance from a steel of the composition (in mass %): 0.01-0.08 % C, 0.10-0.80 % Mn, 0.60 % max. Si, 0.015-0.08 % Al, 0.005 % max. N, 0.01-0.04 % Ti and/or Nb, 0.15 % max. Cu and/or V and/or Ni, the remainder being essentially iron, comprising preheating the cast slab to a temperature above 1050 °C, hot-rolling with a final temperature from over Ar3 to 950 °C, reeling the hot-rolled strip in the range from 550 to 750 °C, cold-rolling with a total degree of deformation from 40 to 85 %, recrystallising annealing of the cold strip at a temperature of at least 720 °C in a continuous furnace, cooling at 5 to 70 K/s and then dressing.

In a method of manufacturing a dual phase steel a strip of thickness 0.1 to 0.5 mm from an unalloyed low C, low Mn steel composition of 0.02 - 0.15% C and 0.15 - 0.60% Mn, which method includes continuous annealing, a flat product can be obtained without strip fracture if (a) the strip is heated to not above 770°C in the A1-A3 region of the iron-carbon diagram region and thereafter (b) the strip is cooled sufficiently rapidly that austenite is at least partly converted to martensite and/or bainite, the cooling rate is such that the value P = d.V where d is strip thickness in mm and V is average cooling rate in °C/sec from 700°C to 300°C, is in the range 20 to 900 and the time interval between the end of step (a) and the beginning of step (b) is less than 4 seconds.

PURPOSE:To enhance cleaning power of a cleaning material by finely vibrating a pressing means for pressing the cleaning material against the roll surface. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning material 6 is pressed through a box 8 and a supporting plate 9 against the surface of a roll 1 with an air cylinder 7. A vibration generating mans is driven by a motor 21 and the box 8 is finely vibrated in the direction parallel to the rotating shaft of the roll. A rubber lining 10 having many hole parts is mounted on the box 8 and a suction box 12 is provided on the downstream side in the running direction of the cleaning material 6 to prevent foulings from falling off the cleaning material part.
