Journal ArticleDOI
Peanut lectin binding properties of germinal centres of mouse lymphoid tissue.
TL;DR: The distribution of horseradish peroxidase-conjugated PNL (HRP-PNL) on frozen sections of mouse lymphoid organs is described and it seems that PNL binds to cells in germinal centres but not to those in some other areas containing activated lymphocytes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Changes in surface charge of HeLa cells during the cell cycle.
T. P. Brent,J. A. Forrester +1 more
TL;DR: Determinations of the electrophoretic mobility of parasynchronous populations of HeLa cells at various stages in the cell cycle are made.
Journal ArticleDOI
Differential Response of B and T Cells to ALS revealed by Electrophoretic Mobility Determinations
TL;DR: It is indicated that other lymphocytes (B cells) are likely to be less affected by ALS and that many ALS have a harmful effect on a population of thymus-dependent (T) lymphocytes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cell Electrophoretic Mobilities in Friend Virus Disease
J. A. Forrester,M. H. Salaman +1 more
TL;DR: The spleen can be dispersed mechanically with ease, and its spleen cell suspensions electrophoretically are investigated during the course of Friend virus disease, where gross pathological changes occur in the spleen.
Journal ArticleDOI
Size changes in isolated nuclei of Amoeba proteus on treatment with polyionic substances.
TL;DR: It seems that surface charge is important in determining the configuration of a biological membrane which could give rise to large and specific changes in its permeability.
