An Experiment in Earthquake Control at Rangely, Colorado

TL;DR: An experiment in an oil field at Rangely, Colorado, has demonstrated the feasibility of earthquake control and confirmed the predicted effect of fluid pressure on earthquake activity and indicated that earthquakes can be controlled wherever the authors can control the fluid pressure in a fault zone.

Earthquakes and waterflooding in the Rangely oil field

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that waterflooding by injection into the Rangely oil field began in 1958, and the reservoir fluid pressure in some peripheral parts of the field has been raised to 0.6 of the overburden pressure.
