Journal ArticleDOI

Total Neutron Cross Sections of Heavy Nuclei

TL;DR: The total neutron cross sections of the heavy and actinide nuclei 181Ta, 197Au, 232Th, 233U, 235U, 238U, 239Pu, and 240Pu were measured from 30 keV to 4.8 MeV.
Journal ArticleDOI

Multi-angle fast neutron time-of-flight system

TL;DR: The system concept, components, operation including on-line information storage, processing, automated control, and off-line data processing are discussed and examples of representative experimental applications are given.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermal neutron absorption cross sections by the pulsed source method

TL;DR: In this article, the thermal neutron absorption cross sections of 21 naturally occurring elements and B/sup 10/ were determined by companing the time deperdence of the neutron flux in water with the time dependence of the neutrons in a water solution of the sample with the same geometric buckling.
Journal ArticleDOI

The optical model of few-MeV neutron elastic scattering from Z = 39 to 51 targets

TL;DR: In this paper, a spherical optical-statistical model (OM) parameter set was derived from the observed cross-sections of elemental X, Zr, Nb, Mo, Rh, Pd, Ag, Cd, In, Sn and Sb.
Journal ArticleDOI

Neutron total and scattering cross sections of some even Mo isotopes and the optical model

TL;DR: In this article, the real and imaginary parts of the optical potential were examined in the context of optical and statistical nuclear models and it was concluded that the imaginary part of the potential was shell dependent with decreasing magnitude as N = 50 is approached.
