Dynamic model for vibronic excitation in low energy atom-molecule collisions

TL;DR: In this paper, the product state distributions from low energy He + N 2 and N + 2 ǫHe collisions are presented, which show severe deviations from Franck-Condon behavior which cannot be solely the result of molecular distortion arising from electrodynamic effects.
Journal ArticleDOI

Classical superposition phenomena in H+2 (v = O) - He reactive collisions

TL;DR: In this article, a simple classical model is used to analyze reactive processes in H + 2 -He collisions at relative energies above a few eV. Detailed structure of the cross section occurs and is a consequence of the superposition of probabilities due to distinct binary collision mechanisms which depend on impact parameter and initial orientation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Rydberg excitation of NO IN H+NO collisions near threshold

TL;DR: In this paper, the anomalous behavior of NO is interpreted in terms of molecular electronic structure, based on the observed NO γ band spectrum and a model spectrum based on vertical electronic transitions, indicating that a relatively long range interaction produces these excitations.
