Kinetics of the reactions of hydroxyl radical with benzene and toluene

TL;DR: In this paper, the absolute rate constants for the reactions of the hydroxyl radical with benzene and toluene were measured within the temperature and pressure ranges 213 less than or equal to 298 K and 20 less than and equal to P less than 200 torr by using He, Ar, and SF/sub 6/ as diluent gases.
Journal ArticleDOI

Kinetic study of the reaction of hydroxyl with hydrogen and deuterium from 250 to 1050 K

TL;DR: In this paper, a flash photolysis-resonance fluorescence technique was used to measure the absolute rate coefficients of DHO + D (k/sub 2) and DHO+ D (K/sub 1/O) reactions at different temperature ranges between 250 and 1050/sup 0/K.
Journal ArticleDOI

Temperature-dependent kinetics studies of the reactions bromine atom(2P3/2) + hydrogen sulfide .tautm. mercapto + hydrogen bromide and bromine atom(2P3/2) + methanethiol .tautm. methylthiol + hydrogen bromide. Heats of formation of mercapto and methylthio radicals

TL;DR: In this article, a time-resolved resonance fluorescence detection of Br( 2 P 3/2 ) atom disappearance or appearance following 266-nm laser flash photolysis of CF 2 Br 2 /H 2 S/H 2 N 2 /N 2, CF 2 BR 2 /CH 3 SH/H2 N 2, Cl 2 CO H 2 S /HBr/N 2 and CH 3 SSCH 3 /H Br/H 1 N 2 ) mixtures has been employed to study the kinetics of the reactions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Kinetic and mechanistic study of the reaction of atomic chlorine with dimethyl sulfide

TL;DR: In this article, a time-resolved tunable diode laser spectroscopic detection of HCl has been coupled with 248-nm laser flash photolysis of Cl{sub 2}CO/DMS/CO-sub 2/N{sub 3} mixtures to measure the HCl product yield from the title reaction as a function of more than 200 Torr pressure at T = 297 K and 3-700 Torr at P = 700 Torr.
Journal ArticleDOI

Kinetics of the reactions of alkyl radicals with HBr and DBr

TL;DR: In this article, the kinetics of the reactions CH3 + HBr, CD3+HBr, CH3+DBr, C2H5 + DBr, t-C4H9 + Hbr, and t-c4H 9 + Dbr were studied as a function of temperature (257-430 K) and pressure (10-300 Torr of N2).
