The development of green finance and the quantitative evaluation of its impact on the ecological environment provide empirical evidence for the construction of the carbon trading accounting system. Among them, carbon trading is an important part of green finance, and the accounting of businesses related to carbon emission rights has promoted the development of regional green finance. In order to explore the relationship between green finance and carbon emissions, this paper builds an analysis model of the relationship between green finance and carbon emissions based on big data and machine learning based on big data technology and machine learning technology. Moreover, this paper conducts simulation tests through the system and compares the output results with the actual situation after system simulation to verify the effectiveness of the model in this paper. From the experimental research results, it can be seen that the correlation analysis model of green finance and carbon emissions based on big data and machine learning constructed in this paper has a good performance in the correlation analysis of green finance and carbon emissions. Moreover, it is not difficult to see through the model of this paper that there is a clear correlation between green finance and carbon emissions.

The correlation between green finance and carbon emissions based on improved neural network

Using a dual-process framework, the aim of this research was to investigate the associations between reflective and impulsive processes and saving behavior. Self-control and saving habit were tested as additional factors that potentially moderate the relationship between constructs representing reflective and impulsive processes and behavior, or exert indirect effects on behavior through these systems. A community sample of 594 participants completed measures of saving intention, buying impulsiveness, trait self-control, saving automaticity, and propensity to save money. A well-fitting variance-based structural equation model, goodness-of-fit index = 0.338, average path coefficient = .119, p < .001, accounted for statistically significant amounts of variance in the key dependent variables: intention to save, R² = .364, buying impulsiveness, R² = .232, and saving behavior, R² = .173. Self-control and saving habit were indirectly related to saving behavior through intention, and buying impulsiveness was directly related to behavior when saving habits were low. Findings indicate strong saving habits may help to protect against impulsive spending and offer several targets for interventions aimed at improving saving behavior. Reflective and impulsive processes underlying saving behavior and the additional roles of self-control and habit.

This research aimed to examine the impact of gender on the mechanism that translates family financial socialisation to financial literacy and behaviour among Malaysian young adults and also to examine the role of financial information-seeking behaviour and its antecedents in this mechanism. A cross-sectional survey was undertaken. A total of 572 young Malaysian adults from four major universities participated in the study. The results revealed that both parents’ teaching and behaviour directly inform young adults’ financial behaviour. However, among females, parents’ teaching through planned behaviour drove their financial information-seeking behaviour, which in turn informed their financial literacy. Contrary to popular notions, financial literacy had no influence on financial behaviour. Moreover, a negative relationship between parental teaching and financial literacy among males was found.

Gender Differences in Financial Literacy and Financial Behaviour Among Young Adults: The Role of Parents and Information Seeking

This study identified economic, sociological, and psychological concepts to better understand individual saving behavior among university employees in Ankara. Participants of this study consisted of employees at Hacettepe University. The survey included 171 employees (29.1% women and 70.9% men). Results showed that some economic and psychological factors were statistically significant related to whether a person had only a savings account or both saving and investing accounts compared to having no saving or investment accounts. Financial management behaviors, perceived subjective norms and the length of a person’s planning horizon were significantly related to the likelihood of having a savings account. Owning a home, financial management behaviors, and greater impulsivity were significantly related to the likelihood of having both saving and investment accounts.

A framework for analyzing financial behavior using machine learning classification of personality through handwriting analysis

With governments redistributing more responsibilities unto citizens, individuals have an increasing need for financial resources acting as a buffer against life’s setbacks and unexpected expenditures. The purpose of this study was to examine psychological determinants of saving for a financial buffer, for which a theoretical model was formulated based on the theory of planned behaviour with three new, domain-specific psychological constructs: financial risk tolerance, regulatory focus and perceived saving barriers. Data were collected with an online questionnaire that utilised convenience and snowball sampling to target both students and working individuals (N = 272). Regression analyses offered support for the proposed model, showing that participants’ financial risk tolerance (i.e. an individual’s attitude towards financial risk taking) was significantly associated with their subjective financial knowledge and regulatory focus. Furthermore, perceived financial self-efficacy and financial risk tolerance both predicted participants’ intention to save for a financial buffer. In turn, perceived financial self-efficacy and saving intention predicted self-reported saving behaviour. Importantly, perceived saving barriers mediated the relationship between saving intention and self-reported saving behaviour. In line with the proposed model, results also showed that a specific attitude-based construct (financial risk tolerance) is a considerably better predictor of saving intention than general measures of attitude towards saving. This study is also the first to demonstrate that regulatory focus influences financial risk tolerance. Implications of these findings for stimulating saving behaviour are discussed.
